NBA Odds & Betting Picks: Thursday Player Props | Feb. 25
The NBA All Star break is coming up quickly, but we still have a bunch of games to break down before it comes. Tonight there is a six-game NBA slate with plenty of marquee players and teams in action. In addition to breaking down the games and looking for value on a side, we have player props available for all teams, and that means a lot of potential wagers on tonight’s slate.
NBA Prop Bet: Tyrese Haliburton Under 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-125)
PointsBet, as of 9:30 a.m. EST
Sacramento heads to New York as a 2-point road underdog, with the game total at 224 points. Rookie Tyrese Haliburton has been fantastic and quickly looks to be a solid building block of the Kings future. He has a number of props available tonight, but the one that caught my eye was his 3-pointers made prop of over/under 2.5. The line is slightly shaded towards the under, but not enough in my opinion, and I am willing to take a position that he hits fewer than three 3-pointers tonight.

So far in his NBA career, Haliburton has shown he can really shoot the ball, as he is currently at a ridiculous 44% from behind the arc. I don’t know if he can keep that up, but regardless, it has been an impressive start for him. Plus, his 3-point volume has increased slightly, and volume is the key statistic when talking about player props. Haliburton in February is taking 6 3-pointers a game, which is a slight uptick from the 5.3 attempts during January. Either way, that’s not as much volume as I would want, as he is going to need to continue the efficient shooting if he doesn’t increase the attempts.
The final point that solidifies my position on under 2.5 3-pointers tonight for Haliburton is that the Knicks defense has done a fantastic job all year limiting teams from behind the arc. They are best in the entire league in 3-point percentage defense, limiting teams to just 32%. That is huge when talking about a prop like this, and it could further drive down Haliburton’s efficiency tonight. Combine that tough matchup with average volume, and we have a spot worth attacking at a reasonable price of -125. I wouldn’t be shocked to see this price rise throughout the day and will gladly lock it in now.
