NFL Odds Boosts To Watch | Russell Wilson + Deshaun Watson | Week 4

Odds boosts are exactly that: Promotions from sportsbooks where they move tin your favor on certain bets. Many of them are prop bets, hoping you’ll put a few dollars on someone to hit a home run or a certain team to score a certain number of goals and still win. Our job is to highlight some of those odds boosts and give you some NFL picks to bet on, assuming it’s smart to buy into what the sportsbooks are selling. We scour the internet trying to find the best odds boosts for you every day from every sport. Today, we get an early look at the Week 4 slate in the NFL.

Many of the sportsbooks are still in the process of rolling out their NFL odds boosts for Week 4, but that shouldn’t stop us from jumping on the ones already on the market. I decided to focus on a pair of multi-player parlays from across the league on Sunday, which should score you a nice payout if they hit. We’ll start in the air with the league’s leader in passing touchdowns before looking to the ground for a four-headed parlay of running backs. Per usual, all of these wagers can be found on OddsShopper, Awesemo’s odds shopping tool to help you secure the best odds on your bets.

NFL Odds Boosts

NFL Picks: Russell Wilson AND Deshaun Watson Throw 2+ Touchdowns (-115 DraftKings)

I’m actually a little disappointed in the odds being offered on this bet, especially given the matchup Watson faces this week. Watson is going up against a Minnesota defense that has given up points but hasn’t allowed many passing touchdowns this season. The Vikings allowed Aaron Rodgers to throw four touchdown passes in the opener, but they have limited Philip Rivers and Ryan Tannehill to just one passing touchdown combined the past two weeks. Watson did throw two touchdowns last week against Pittsburgh, and Minnesota’s defense isn’t nearly as menacing as the Steelers unit, but it’s still more of a risk to say Watson will throw two touchdowns this week.

There are really no concerns for Wilson and the Seattle offense, which is slicing up teams through the air like a hot knife through butter. Wilson has thrown an NFL-record 14 touchdowns through three weeks, and he’s made it look quite easy at times. Miami’s defense was carved up by Josh Allen through the air, so the Dolphins will definitely be on high alert against Wilson and the Seahawks. Miami has struggled to put pressure on quarterbacks this season, so Wilson will have a lot of time to sit back and dissect the defense. Seven different receivers have caught a touchdown pass from Wilson this season, and the Dolphins are not nearly deep enough to keep this offense silent.

NFL Picks: Nick Chubb, Ezekiel Elliott, Alvin Kamara AND Austin Ekeler Score Touchdown (+900 DraftKings)

This is an interesting combination of running backs, but it’s one that might actually be very fruitful for bettors. We’ll start with Chubb and Elliott, who will face off Sunday in Dallas. Chubb has scored two rushing touchdowns in consecutive weeks as part of an offense that runs the ball nearly as much as anyone in the league. Dallas has only allowed two rushing touchdowns, but it is toward the bottom of the league in terms of rushing defense. Chubb has the speed to break off a long touchdown run and the power to bulldoze in on the goal line as well.

Elliott is facing a far stiffer challenge in the Browns’ rushing defense, though Cleveland has not been challenged on the ground the last two weeks. The Cowboys running back has scored once in every game so far this season, and Dallas definitely won’t be shorting him on touches. If Cleveland is too afraid of Dallas’ top-ranked passing attack, it will open up holes for Elliott to exploit, and he’ll be able to wriggle his way into the end zone.

Ekeler is where this bet hinges in my opinion because he’s only scored once this season and is facing Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers have the third-best rushing defense in the league, but Ekeler is the head of the NFL’s sixth-best rushing attack. It’s an interesting contrast of styles, especially because the Chargers are relying on rookie quarterback Justin Herbert for the third straight week, but if Los Angeles is going to score, it’ll be with Ekeler on the ground.

That just leaves Kamara, who has a very favorable matchup against Detroit this week. Kamara was a receiver as much as a running back the last two weeks without Michael Thomas on the field for New Orleans, but Thomas’ return opens the door for a new scheme. Kamara will likely return to running the ball more this week, as the Lions rank 30th at defending the run. Detroit doesn’t have the speed to contain Kamara in space if he breaks into the second level with the ball in his hands. I expect Kamara will find the end zone at least once in an easy Saints victory.
