Course & Tournament Commentary

A renovation in the 1960s, much like Gleneagles in Scotland, the Silverado resort was at first a mansion. It was then converted into what it is now, a massive resort in Napa, California, the heart of wine country. The tournament is now famous for the trophy, which comes in the form of a wine barrel, as are the tee markers at each hole. Since I’ve been following the tour religiously, which was the year before Brendan Steele went back to back, the field has been getting a little bit better each year. This year may be the best field yet for the tournament.
