Looking for a way to learn PGA DFS without jumping in with both feet? We have a perfect solution for you. This year, Yahoo and Yahoo Fantasy are offering a $10,000 freeroll called the “Yahoo Cup.” This contest awards a winner for weekly events and one winner at the end of the season who has the most cumulative points. That winner will receive $1,000.
Ultimately, winning the Yahoo Cup comes down to picking the right golfers. Today I will provide my top three value plays based on Yahoo salary, a couple of lineup fill-ins, and then I will finish it off with two different lineup variations of how to start building your lineups this week for The Masters.

Top Three Values for The Masters
Bubba Watson ($20)
Coming into the week, Watson is playing his best golf of the season. He is a two-time winner here and hasn’t missed a cut in quite some time. Watson is the minimum salary for this week as well, projected at 59.8 points according to Awesemo’s model. That ranks him as one of the top-value golfers at the minimum salary.
Si Woo Kim ($20)
Kim is only minimum-salary golfer with more projected points in Awesemo’s model than Watson (Kim projected at 59.6 points). He also holds a pretty good track record around Augusta, albeit not nearly as good as Watson’s. Still, Kim should provide great value at this salary.
Matt Wallace ($20)
Wallace comes into the week off of one of his best tee-to-green performances in recent memory. Typically that form does not leave overnight, and this is Wallace’s third trip to this course. Augusta National requires good ball striking and short game, and Wallace checks both those boxes.
PGA DFS Yahoo Cup Lineup Fill-ins
- Jordan Spieth ($25)
- Cameron Smith ($28)
- Jason Day ($23)
PGA DFS Yahoo Cup Lineup Builds
Using the three top values highlighted above, gamers can roster just about any golfer to fill out the roster, with the exception of Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm and Dustin Johnson all together. Any other combination works, including rostering two of those three with another top-end player.
Taking a more conservative route, adding in both Jason Day and Jordan Spieth still allows for the lineup to add at least two stars while not giving up any win equity at all. This is the preferred lineup build this week.
