March Madness CBB DFS Picks

Stud CBB Picks Today

Johnny Davis ($8,600) — Kofi Cockburn is on this slate and presents a scary fade. However, numerous elite studs find themselves in solid matchups. Now another week removed the ankle injury, Wisconsin’s do-it-all star Johnny Davis enters a solid game environment against Colgate. Davis dominated Wisconsin’s usage at 22.4%, and he will play every minute in competitive games. Wisconsin is only a 7.5-point favorite over Colgate, suggesting a closer game here.

Isaiah Mobley ($8,000) — Like Davis, USC’s Isaiah Mobley also is in an elite game environment. Mobley has a 17.5% usage rate and has played 38, 36 and 37 minutes over USC’s last three games. USC is a 2-point favorite over Miami in a game with a 139.5-point total here. Mobley also takes advantage of an elite frontcourt matchup. Miami ranks outside the top 300 in rebounding, while USC checks in at ninth. This is a dream matchup for Mobley.

Bennedict Mathurin ($7,800) — Arizona is a 21-point favorite over Wright State in a game with a 156.5-point total. With Arizona projected to drop nearly 90 points, multiple players need to be considered here. Bennedict Mathurin plays the most consistent minutes among the starters and leads the team with a 19.5% usage rate. While Christian Koloko and Azuolas Tubelis are also elite plays in tournaments, Mathurin is the most consistent option here.

Mid-Range CBB Picks Today

Malachi Smith ($6,000) — While Illinois’ Cockburn is an excellent play, Chattanooga has some upside as an 8-point underdog in a game with a 136-point total. Chattanooga’s usage leader Malachi Smith is particularly intriguing. Smith has played 42, 34 and 35 minutes over the last three games, maximizing his 20.1% usage rate. He is over 18.5% in shot rate, rebound rate and assist rate on the year, making him an excellent play despite the step up in competition.

Tanner Holden ($5,800) — On the other side of the Arizona game, Wright State will play with pace and try to run with the Wildcats. Grant Basile and Tanner Holden are both affordable here, but Holden has the higher usage rate at a cheaper price. Holden is above an 18% shot rate, rebound rate and assist rate for Wright State on the year. With a near-70-point implied team total, both he and Basile are solid play. Trey Calvin and Tim Finke are also value options in the same offense.

Xavier Bishop ($5,800) — Montana State is a 15-point underdog to Texas Tech in a game with a 131.5-point total. While Montana State doesn’t have a solid implied team total themselves, they have an elite usage leader at a cheaper price. Xavier Bishop has played 38, 37 and 31 minutes over the last three games and had a 28.2% shot rate and a 54.2% assist rate in that time. These numbers are strong enough to take a stab on in tournaments.

Malachi Smith and Tanner Holden were both standing out as some of the best options on the entire Friday CBB DFS slate. Based on their projections and game environments, they are, without a doubt, great NCAAB picks today. CBB Value Picks Today

Nelly Cummings ($4,800) — Another potential value piece in the Wisconsin – Colgate game, Nelly Cummings has played 33, 30 and 30 minutes over the last three games. Cummings has an elite 19.8% usage rate, finally maximized by increased minutes. Between his 21.9% shot rate and 14.1% assist rate, Cummings is a solid game stacking option again here.

Pelle Larson ($4,800) — Arizona projects to play this game without Kerr Kriisa again. While Justin Kier is the better one-for-one replacement, Pelle Larson should see an increased role as well. He has played at least 23 minutes in each of Arizona’s last two games, giving him enough upside to consider as a value piece.

Ryan Moffatt ($3,700) — On the other side of the Wisconsin game, Colgate has a solid value piece in Ryan Moffatt. Moffatt has played 32, 31 and 24 minutes for Colgate in their last three games. He has a 10.6% shot rate, 14.6% rebound rate and 14.1% assist rate in that span, making him an excellent value piece.
