Call of Duty DFS Big Three: Florida Home Series Picks for DraftKings + FanDuel | May 22

Gregory Bunch gives out his Call of Duty DFS Picks + Breakdown for DraftKings + FanDuel for 5/22/20 based off of Awesemo's projections

It’s time for another weekend of Call of Duty DFS action over on DraftKings and FanDuel, but before we dive into that I need to at least mention what we will be witnessing. We are heading to Seattle (not really because it is online) for the Seattle Home Series brought to us by the Call of Duty League. It should be an action-packed weekend, so let’s start off this first slate hot.

Pick No. 1: Dylan ($8,600 DraftKings, $9,700 FanDuel)

Projection: 110.62 (12.9x Value DraftKings, 11.4x Value FanDuel)

Why not start off my picks with the highest projected player according to Awesemo’s Call of Duty projections? It makes complete sense as the London Royal Ravens will be coming into the Seattle Home Series with a lot to prove since their blunder last tournament against Faze. All in all, it was still a good weekend for Dylan even with London bounced early, as he provided 111.5 DraftKings points 112.5 FanDuel points per game in two games. Now combine those numbers with the fact that Dylan and the London Royal Ravens get a good matchup with the L.A. Guerillas who are currently dead last in the standings. Finally, I am rolling with Dylan because of the Royal Ravens’ roster changes which have taken Jurd out and thrown Zer0 in. This change should open up more kills for Dylan as it is hard to expect a new players to step in and immediately make an impact on day 1. Think of this like Chino for Optic Gaming and how that change opened up more kills for Dashy and SlasheR.

Pick No. 2: Karma ($7,200 DraftKings, $7,600 FanDuel)

Projection: 88.44 (12.3x Value DraftKings, 11.6x Value FanDuel)

Karma has a propensity to underperform against top-tier competition. However, in my humble opinion, New York is not there yet after having changed their rosters with the addition of Mack. So we have to look further into the storylines here and the most interesting one I found was that Seattle has not played in a few weeks. Basically what I am getting at is that Seattle has been sitting at home practicing for almost a month straight since the Chicago Home Series where they went 2-2 with 3-1 losses to Dallas and Atlanta. Having the chance to watch New York in the Florida Home Series is something that neither site is accounting into their pricing on today’s COD DFS slate.

Finally, let me talk about this player instead of the matchup because Karma is as good as they come with a slightly less resounding name since he plays for the Surge. Think of Karma as a mini version of Shotzzy on Dallas because Karma (when in the zone) is running and gunning with the best of them and loves the SMG, which I always tend to look for to find high kill potential. Lock in Karma and have yourself a good day.

Pick No. 3: SlasheR ($9,200 DraftKings, $8,800 FanDuel)

Projection: 96.65 (10.5x Value DraftKings, 11.0x Value FanDuel)

SlasheR is exactly the type of player the name ensues as he likes to kill his opponents with a multitude of guns, but primarily the SMG. This guy is an absolute animal when he gets it going which is evident from his most recent DFS performance of 146 DraftKings Points and 148.4 FanDuel Points against Toronto. Now remember, though, that game went five maps and this is still a concept we will be looking to use up as I am sure things will eventually change in the scoring department. For now, we still want at least four maps with five maps being an absolute godsend. What better matchup to get us at least four maps than a matchup with Minnesota who has been great at times and pretty average at others? Combine this matchup with SlasheR playing out of his mind and you have a recipe for success. Optic Gaming turned the corner during their last tournament in Florida and I believe the momentum is going to hit Minnesota like a Mack Truck.
