EU Masters LoL DFS Group B Slate Breakdown September 9

Jeremy Schritt breaks down the 7/24/20 LoL DFS slate, including his favorite League of Legends DraftKings plays and stacks for LCS DFS.

EU Masters will fill some of the void until Worlds starts, and we’re kicking it off with the conclusion of Group B. With three teams likely battling it out for two spots, I’m breaking down each team and their LoL DFS viability for the day.

On top of Group B we have MRS, who are not only 3-0 but also lead the EU Masters in kills per game with 21.7. One little tidbit to note is that while they are on top and have been fantastic LoL DFS options, they’ve not been overpowering early game with a +220 gold differential at 15 minutes even with a 100% first blood rate. These stats shouldn’t deter you from having MRS, but there are three very solid teams in this group, and I could envision them finishing anywhere from 4-2 to 6-0. Xico looked the best in the first round robin, and I can easily envision another solid performance out here in games MRS wins.

It’s fitting that two of the top three teams in kills per game sit in this group as RGO come into the day averaging 18.3 per game. The spring semifinalists have enough talent to challenge any team in the tournament, but with three viable teams to make deep runs residing in the group, getting out of groups needs to be their first goal. I’m a big fan of RGO against each of the teams today, and hopefully we’ll see better kill participation (KP) from most of the squad. Zanzarah didn’t light the world on fire the first round robin, but if it tempers ownership, then I have no issue taking my shots.

Sitting at 1-2, GL hasn’t fully shown up and is in real danger of once again not advancing out of groups. There are definitive spots for improvement, and it starts with the top laner Phones. Even though Phones has the highest KDA, his KP is sitting at an abysmal 38.5%, which could mean we see an improvement. GL needs to find ways to kick start veteran Hjarnan, while also figuring out how to improve upon the 1902 gold deficit they average at 15 minutes. Hjarnan is the key guy for me from GL, and if they get out of groups, he won’t be the only one improving on their first round robin stats.

Unfortunately for SUPP, they drew a bad group and appear to be thoroughly outclassed everywhere. For LoL DFS purposes, your best bet might be to hope their last game against RGO won’t affect anything, meaning it could be a fiesta for the ages. Spooky is the player from SUPP that I’ve been most impressed with, and if you’re brave, you can take a flier on him.

Favorte Plays

ADC – Woolite. My best guess is that RGO will go 3-0 today, and we could see a tiebreaker for first in the group. Woolite is historically aggressive, and if he shows up, LoL DFS players on DraftKings could be in for a treat.

JNG – Elyoya. For me, Elyoya has been the strongest piece of MRS. Expect solid performances in wins, as he’s likely the best jungler in the group.

Favorite Contrarian Play

MID – Nite. This Nite isn’t the best player in the world, but you should definitely feel comfortable taking chances with him and other GL members on these slates.
