Two seemingly one-sided series finds their way into the LoL DFS world tonight. I’m breaking the LPL and LCK series down regardless, as well as putting up some of my favorite LoL DFS picks for DraftKings tonight.
KT Rolster (KT) vs. DRX (DRX)
Fredit Brion (BRO) vs. T1 (T1)
Royal Never Give Up (RNG) vs. LNG Esports (LNG)
Oh My God (OMG) vs. Top Esports (TES)
LPL STARTING LINEUPS
LoL DFS Picks: DraftKings LPL + LCK Slate Breakdown
KT is a rollercoaster of performance highs and lows, as the squad is an inconsistent 5-6. Their first series against DRX saw KT put up 39 kills in a clean sweep, but they are coming off a rather poor performance against AF. Most of what this comes down to for LoL DFS purposes is who ends up starting for KT. Gideon plus the four that took down DRX has me a little bit interested in KT as small dogs, as would any sort of low ownership here. Doran is hyper talented, and he’s likely the most difficult KT player to fit in, but one I have interest in.
This series really is a battle of two teams who aren’t absurdly talented but have moments where they shine. DRX as favorites here is intriguing should this series as a whole get overlooked even if DRX is a team averaging only 11 kills per contest. The jungle position is where DRX carries their biggest advantage, and Pyosik is the DRX player I’m most interested in this series.
ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP
According to certain casters, RNG has the best read on the meta in the current time, and it’s not terribly difficult to disagree with that since they’re sitting near the top of the LPL table. Predicting a 2-0 victory here is reasonable, even if LNG can be sneakily competitive at times. RNG being near the top in kills per game, as well as LNG having six of their ten losses featuring at least 15 deaths, makes RNG an attractive LoL DFS option tonight. Cryin finds himself near the top of my preferences in a spot which could be quite good for RNG.

After a long six game losing streak against good teams, LNG managed to put together a solid 2-0 against a similarly ranked V5. Tonight’s affair is against another really good team, and they’re correctly the underdogs in this scrap. LNG has the potential to mix things up, but their best win this split is a week one victory over IG, before being swept by the other good teams they’ve faced. A series win likely sees LNG put up kills in the mid-teens in their victories, which is solid alongside their 2.5 assists per kill, which could make Light a solid LoL DFS option.
Surprisingly, BRO found a way to take a game off GEN last time out. They were losing until they won, which isn’t often a successful formula, and in general not one I tend to bank on. Even on a night where few underdogs are attractive, BRO is just above OMG, but that’s hardly a big endorsement. Hena is actually playing decently this split, so if you’re pulling for BRO tonight, that’s where I’d look.
One of the weirder stats this split is how not often BRO dies, as they are right in the middle of the LCK with 12.4 deaths per game, just behind DWG 12.2. Even though T1 has produced the same lineup the last few series, there’s still that nagging voice in the back of my head reminding me that T1 has 10 players, and this is the second series of the night. I’m unlikely to avoid T1 here, although T1 lineups will likely look pretty good, so depending on how much the field trusts T1 to run the same guys out, I’ll make my decision based on that. Zeus feels like the safest bet to play, and it doesn’t hurt that I also really like his matchup in this spot.
OH MY GOD
Closing out the LPL half of the slate gives us a seemingly one sided affair as OMG takes on TES. OMG did manage to take a game off RA last time out, but TES is less likely to open the door for them, making it difficult to roster them even though they’re cheap. If you’re interested in OMG, which I am not tonight, AKi somehow playing out of his mind will be the first step towards OMG being any sort of competitive.
There’s a ton to like about TES tonight. They’re the LPL kills per game leader, and OMG dies 15.5 times per game, making this a match made in heaven for LoL DFS purposes. TES is also less likely to drop any games to OMG, as they’re in a pile of teams battling it out for better playoff positioning. Ownership numbers will be something I consult before building, nonetheless JackeyLove stands out as probably the easiest player to like tonight, while also being in incredible form.
Favorite DraftKings LoL DFS Picks
ADC – JackeyLove. Yes he’s expensive, and yes the underdogs aren’t terribly attractive on paper, but one thing I’m going to try to do is find ways to get any pieces of TES I can in lineups.
MID – Cryin. RNG should come out on top here, even if LNG is more than capable of sneaking a win in this spot. Cryin against icon is intriguing, and with RNG just behind TES in kills per game, the canvas is well prepared for RNG.
Favorite Contrarian DraftKings LoL DFS Pick
ADC – HyBriD. KT finding similar form to that of the first time these teams met could make KT sneakily interesting for LoL DFS. HyBriD can have pop off moments which are exciting, making him and Doran my favorite KT options.
