On only the second day of the LPL summer split, this seems to be a pretty straightforward LoL DFS slate with two solid favorites. Maybe the LPL will surprise like it sometimes does, and I’ll be breaking down all the teams on this slate while putting up some of my favorite LoL DFS picks on DraftKings.

LoL DFS Picks & DraftKings LPL Slate Breakdown
OH MY GOD
While it’s unlikely to change their fate this split, OMG did make some proactive, potentially interesting changes in the off-season, with Creme being the most intriguing. OMG draws a rather favorable first game, as RA is very capable of looking bad, and if the new pieces slot in well, taking a gam or being competitive throughout is very possible.
Even though RA is clearly the correct side of this series on paper, they’re not a team without flaws, and nothing seems to have changed in the off-season. FoFo is still a stud who demands attention every time he steps on the rift, while on the flip side iBoy often feels like someone the team needs to keep in check rather than enabling. As the better team, RA is easily the safest LoL DFS option tonight, but it’s not a guarantee they win. FoFo likely tops the list of LoL DFS picks tonight, in a series RA needs to go 2-0 in to start their season.

At first glance it may seem that this is an easy stomp spot for EDG, but BLG is a legitimately solid team. Seeing EDG drop a game here wouldn’t be too surprising to me. With a roster largely unchanged in terms of members, Jiejie is someone who might have a big impact tonight. When all is said and done, Viper is the most talented player on this slate, and he’s the best LoL DFS option from EDG tonight.
It’s really wild to see BLG getting so disrespected on the betting lines since they upgraded in the offseason with Weiwei and ppgod joining. This doesn’t mean that they’ll come out and stomp EDG, which is an incredibly difficult first match, but
they’re a strong long term buy, capable of causing problems to some of the top teams. Biubiu is an intriguing option tonight, as even though he has the talent disadvantage against Flandre, Flandre was asleep at the wheel the latter part of spring split, and maybe that carries over here.
MID – FoFo. Both series are deceptively closer than the lines may appear, but FoFo is by far the class of the first series, and even if RA might be a long term sell for me, tonight should be a 2-0.
Favorite Contrarian Play
ADC – Aiming. With ppgod by his side, Aiming might be a little more interesting as a LoL DFS option, even if he ends up in a more supportive role himself. Picking against Viper will not be popular, making Aiming semi attractive.
