It is a Friday night LPLCK slate, and one that contains a dynamic of two big favorites, alongside two potentially close series. Giving GEN a stiff challenge, HLE still needs to find wins to sneak into playoffs, and with their remaining schedule being easy, HLE kicks it off against KT. Perhaps the biggest issue with HLE is the JNG position, as the rotating door has not produced much success. Chovy as always offers immense upside for LoL DFS, and he is someone that can take over a series, making him attractive to sprinkle in, if HLE gets the win, especially if HLE goes overlooked.
Losing their last two series, and three of their last four, including the first matchup against HLE, KT finds themselves absolutely needing this win to have any realistic hope at playoffs. Their sole game win against HLE came in a long, grind it out style, one which saw Blank carry a 100% kill participation (KP), and while it is very unlikely he replicates that, HLE is exploitable through the JNG position, which sets him up to be potentially sneaky in LoL DFS tonight.
The manner in which TES succumbed to FPX in their last series was moderately surprising, but tonight is a fresh opportunity to rebuild momentum. Netting a win here is likely, as TES is the right side on paper, and while RW has been performing better recently, challenging TES might be a step too much. Knight is a clear LoL DFS standout tonight for TES, as the mid laner leads the team in KP, as well as his favorable lane matchup against Forge.
Coming off an 0-2 loss to TT, the honeymoon period for RW may just be complete. RW’s remaining schedule features only teams in playoff positions, making them fliers at best in the LoL DFS world. Taking shots on recapturing form is not a terrible idea, especially if they are minimally owned, but it is a dart throw at best, and one that should start with Xiaohao.

Even though BRO definitely was not clean in their 2-1 win over DRX, one positive that did come out of it was their high kill totals in the games they did win. Putting up 19,23,23 in their last three victories is an exciting development, especially for their LoL DFS prospects against lesser teams. Unfortunately, NS does not qualify as a lesser team, although BRO did 2-0 them in their first meeting. UmTi participated in 44 of the 50 kills BRO had in their last series, and if he’s that active in a BRO win, will be an exciting option.
Ever present, and clear LCK contenders, NS are riding a four series win streak, and have a great opportunity to make it five tonight. With clear advantages in playstyle, and a group believing it, NS are leaving myths of a playoff struggle behind. LoL DFS fans are also reaping the benefits during this NS run, as their kills per victory during this stretch are an incredible 18.5. Hopefully LoL DFS fans have prior versions of NS firmly entrenched in their memory, and players like deokdam get overlooked tonight.
After an exhilarating 2-1 series victory over LNG, SN are capable of taking their win streak to three tonight against FPX. Tonight will be much trickier than the LNG series, and if SN plays similarly to games two and three of said series, pulling off the upset will be difficult. Huanfeng is capable of playing a multitude of champions, depending on what the team needs, but one thing is certain, if SN wins, he is likely to be an important LoL DFS piece of the SN puzzle.
FPX is currently one of, if not, the hottest team in the LPL right now. With a four series win streak, and a slew of talented players, FPX is set up well for playoff success. It is going to be a potentially tricky assignment to defeat SN, but FPX is the slightly stronger team, and with how they are playing, another 2-0 is possible. Nuguri vs. Bin is an exciting top lane matchup, as both are capable of taking over games while also being very important for LoL DFS.
MID – Knight. Forge poses just a small threat to Knight tonight, and Knight is an impressive LoL DFS option for a TES squad which expects to win 2-0 here.
Favorite Contrarian Pick
MID – Chovy. Mid laners are an appealing option, as there’s talent spread throughout this LoL DFS slate. HLE is nowhere near a slam dunk, but they are also skillful enough at occasionally creating action, which is always a plus.
