Oh My God (OMG) vs. FunPlus Phoenix (FPX)
Vici Gaming (VG) vs. Edward Gaming (EDG)
LPL Starting Lineups
OH MY GOD
Our first series features two teams with a collective seven-series loss streak with OMG vs. FPX. Normally I would heavily favor FPX here, but OMG has enough talent to challenge a slumping FPX squad. OMG is a weird LoL DFS team as they’re 12th in kills per game, and still nobody has over a 70% kill participation (KP) on the squad. H4cker and Curse are the two people that need to kickstart OMG this series by taking advantage of GimGoon’s potentially rustiness and Tian’s current shakiness.
The current world champions need to get it together, or they’ll find themselves further out of the playoff race with a crowded field. It’s borderline infuriating seeing such a well rounded, talented team fall into the pit they currently reside in. I believe when FPX finds a series win, they’ll be reignited and carry their form better than most teams, with this being a likely place to begin. “Super Carry Doinb” is my pick to perform this series, as he can outclass icon, while snowballing other lanes.
Game 2 of VG/TES was essentially what every fan of LoL DFS desires, except VG lost while netting nearly 30 kills. Impressive as that was, I’m not sure I can legitimately call much of their play as good in that series. This is a series VG needs, as EDG sits at 3-7, and in a crowded playoff picture, they cannot afford to drop games to teams below you. I’ve got this series as a tight affair, one which easily could go the distance. Aix is often an unattractive, overlooked LoL DFS option, but I don’t mind the spot here against whoever EDG throws out.
One of the more storied LPL franchises, EDG finds themselves in a six-game, three-series losing streak, while having won only one of their previous seven series. Oddly enough, they’re tied for fourth in kills per game, and oftentimes they’re just a little bit worse than their opponents. This is a very winnable series for EDG and Scout and Hope being the pieces of the squad I trust the most.
MID – Doinb. At any point, Doinb could just pop off, and I’m excited at his prospects tonight. FPX needs him at his best to break out of the losing streak, and while he’s expensive on DraftKings and FanDuel, I’d feel more than comfortable with him on either site.
Favorite Contrarian Play
ADC – Hope. Hopefully EDG isn’t too popular tonight, as I’m very likely going to find myself with a fair amount of them. iBoy has his ups and downs, and Hope and Meiko can take advantage of that.
