Robinson’s Production in 2020

Robinson came off the board as a top-12 receiver in fantasy football drafts last year. His draft price paid off, as he finished top 12 in all formats. Even with Chicago’s poor quarterback play, Robinson had 102 receptions (fourth his position) on 151 targets (third) for 1,250 yards (eighth) and six touchdowns (24th).

Quarterback Situation in Chicago

In the 2021 NFL Draft the Bears moved up to No. 11 to select Justin Fields. Prior to that, they brought in Andy Dalton to be their starting quarterback. The assumption is that Dalton will be the quarterback for at least a few weeks. Even if there is some smoke about Fields potentially sitting all season, that is highly doubtful given Fields’ draft position. Regardless of who plays quarterback for Chicago, Robinson will be solid. He has put up stellar numbers with Blake Bortles, Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles at quarterback, and Dalton and Fields are steps up from them.

Robinson’s Outlook in 2021

There should be no doubt about how Robinson will finish, and on many sites he continues to be drafted outside of the top 12. Even with the uncertainty at the quarterback position this year, Robinson will play well. His skill set and target share finishing (25.4%, 21.1% in red zone last year) should have fantasy players bought in. Those numbers could increase if Fields is under center. Robinson has produced top-12 receiver seasons the last two years, and that trend will continue into 2021.
