Week 10 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Quarterbacks: Carson Wentz & Matt Ryan

By dissecting each matchup for Week 10, we can see how it will positively and negatively impact each quarterback. Keeping tabs on the fantasy football rankings is crucial to know where players are rising and falling throughout the week at any given position. Here are the Week 10 quarterbacks to start and sit.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Quarterbacks

Must Start: Carson Wentz — Colts vs. Jaguars

Wentz put on a clinic against the Jets last week, with 22 completions on 30 attempts for 272 yards and three touchdowns. That said, some fantasy managers will be nervous because of a strong performance by the Jaguars defense last week against the Bills. That feels like more of a fluke than the Jaguars magically having one of the best defenses in the NFL. Ride with Wentz again this week for the potential of yet another top-five performance.

Must Start: Taylor Heinicke — Washington vs. Buccaneers

Heinicke cooled off from a hot start to the season following Ryan Fitzpatrick‘s injury. In his last game in Week 8 he had 24 completions on 39 attempts for 270 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. This week he faces the Buccaneers, who are allowing an average of 21.75 fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. If there was ever a time for a huge game, it would be this week against the Buccaneers defense.

Must Start: Matt Ryan — Falcons at Cowboys

Ryan is the exact opposite of Taylor Heinicke, as Ryan started the season off quite slowly. Recently his fantasy output has ramped up, especially so last week against the Saints. In that game Ryan had 23 completions on 30 attempts for 343 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for a touchdown. This week he faces the Cowboys, who were just eviscerated by the Broncos. Expect yet another solid showing out of Ryan this week.

Must Sit: Mike White — Jets vs. Bills

White appears to be the starter this week against the Bills. While he played very little against the Colts due to injury, he had seven completions on 11 attempts for 95 yards and a touchdown. White appears to be the best quarterback on the Jets roster right now, but the Bills present a bad matchup. Sure, they lost last week to the Jaguars, but their defense still played well and ranks first in pass DVOA.

Must Sit: Baker Mayfield — Browns at Patriots

Mayfield looked stout last week in Cleveland’s demolition of the Bengals, with 14 completions on 21 attempts for 218 yards and two touchdowns. It seems that the Browns offense is better without Odell Beckham Jr. With all of that said, facing the Patriots will be a tall task for the passing game. The Patriots rank 10th in pass DVOA, so it is likely Mayfield will come back down to Earth.
