Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Expect a Big Week for Courtland Sutton in Week 3

Looking towards Week 3 of the NFL fantasy football season, we will look into all of the matchups and discern the positive or negative impact that a given matchup will have on the wide receivers. Below is the best fantasy football start ’em sit ’em advice for the Week 3 NFL matchups.

Week 3 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Wide Receivers

Must Start: Courtland Sutton – Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets

Sutton was the  biggest benefactor to Jerry Jeudy’s injury. In Week 1 Sutton was virtually invisible to Teddy Bridgewater, but last week he led the team in targets, catching nine for 159 yards. This week he gets the Jets, which is one of the softest defensive matchups in the NFL. Just like last week in which he finished as the WR5, it is entirely possible that Sutton will be a top-five wideout.

Must Start: Rondale Moore – Arizona Cardinals at Jacksonville Jaguars

Moore has had an excellent start to his NFL career, currently ranking 17th at his position. The Cardinals offense looks near unstoppable, and this week they face the Jaguars in what may be a blowout, especially given how poorly Trevor Lawrence has been playing. Fire up Moore with confidence.

Must Start: Sterling Shepard – New York Giants vs. Atlanta Falcons

Shepard’s success has been one of the most surprising parts of the fantasy football season. The Giants bringing in Kenny Golladay should have relegated Shepard to WR2, but instead he has been seeing the most targets on the team. Last week Shepard was the WR20 on the week, tied with Marvin Jones, recording 94 yards on nine catches. This week he draws a great matchup against the Falcons.

Must Sit: Corey Davis – New York Jets at Denver Broncos

Davis started the season off strong against the Panthers, bringing in two touchdowns. That hot start was quickly cooled by a terrible performance against the Patriots. The worst part is it was not even his fault, as Zach Wilson threw four interceptions. This week Davis plays a Broncos defense that will be another tough matchup. The safest bet is to let Davis sit on the bench and wait for Wilson to bounce back. He is still the clear No. 1 target for Wilson, but playing Davis is not the right move against Denver.

Must Sit: Odell Beckham Jr. – Cleveland Browns vs. Chicago Bears

Beckham has yet to make his season debut through the first two weeks of the season. The expectation is that he will suit up this Sunday against the Bears. With Jarvis Landry being sent to the IR, many will be quick to pull the trigger on starting Beckham. However, he is on one of the most run-heavy teams in all of the NFL, and the Browns will keep to the ground heavily against the Bears. Let Beckham sit on the bench until he performs at a high level.

Must Sit: Kenny Golladay – New York Giants vs. Atlanta Falcons

Despite Golladay having one of the juicier matchups of the week, he is a must-sit candidate. The Falcons defense is not good, but Golladay has not been reliable and is not seeing much usage. Shepard is Daniel Jones No. 1 target, and until that changes, stay away from Golladay.
