Dan Straily

There’s something oddly satisfying about rostering Straily. I enter each matchup with no fear. The public feels a similar way, which makes him the clear-cut primary cash option. Straily has the second lowest implied total against (behind Despaigne). Straily enters this one ranked second in strikeout rate and fifth in FIP. In his last start, he threw seven innings of shutout ball with seven strikeouts. I can’t even nitpick. He’s easily my top arm.

Odrisamer Despaigne

It’s hard to avoid Straily on FanDuel, but DraftKings is a completely different matter. Despaigne represents a $2000 savings over Straily (or you can pair them!). The KT Wiz have the lowest implied total against. It’s rare to see that number under 3.50 runs, but that’s what we’ve got in this one. Despaigne hasn’t had the same success as Straily, but he’s been solid. He comes into the day ranked 16th in FIP and 18th in strikeout rate. He’s the guy you want on DraftKings for cash games, but I think using him to spend down on pitching is a solid plan in GPPs.
