NBA Fantasy Projections & Lineup Optimizer Picks Tonight

Boom: Anfernee Simons: $5,300 DraftKings/$5,500 FanDuel

58.9% DraftKings Boom/40.3% FanDuel Boom

Monday night, Simons returned from a one-game absence due to health protocols and took full advantage of the opportunity with Damian Lillard (abdomen) and C.J. McCollum (chest) out of the lineup, erupting for 60.75 DraftKings points across 38.3 minutes against the Hawks. Those two guards have been ruled out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Heat, and excluding Dec. 2, when Simons exited after only 10 minutes with a sprained ankle, he is averaging a whopping 50.6 DraftKings points per game for the three career starts he has made with both Lillard and McCollum inactive. Furthermore, in the 136 minutes Simons has played with these two guards off the floor this season, his usage has jumped 7.5 percentage points to 29.8% and his assist rate has also increased 7.5 percentage points to 22.5%.

With this role, Simons scores 1 DraftKings points per minute, and he should handle 35 to 40 minutes tonight against a Miami club that will be without both Jimmy Butler (ankle) and Bam Adebayo (wrist). While he will not have another 60-fantasy point outburst, Simons should still effortlessly outperform his current price tags and is a top-three value on the slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel in Awesemo’s projections.

Boom: Tyler Herro: $6,900 DraftKings/$6,500 FanDuel

55.1% DraftKings Boom/44% FanDuel Boom

Opposite of Simons, Herro should also benefit with his team down many key players. On top of Butler and Adebayo, Duncan Robinson (health protocols) will be unavailable tonight. In the 288 minutes Herro has played with these three starters off the court this season, his usage has risen 2.9 percentage points to a team-high 32.3%, resulting in 1.12 DraftKings points per minute. Herro should start and approach 40 minutes in this situation, and this is a beautiful matchup since the Trail Blazers are dead last in defensive efficiency.

On BetMGM Herro’s props are set at 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Before defensive stats and bonuses are attributed, this is 35.25 fantasy points, which is already over 5x value for his current price tags on both DraftKings and FanDuel. For both sites, Herro has a top-five boom score on the slate in Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool.

Boom: Bradley Beal: $10,500 DraftKings/$9,900 FanDuel

15.6% DraftKings Boom/13.4% FanDuel Boom

Spencer Dinwiddie (conditioning) will remain sidelined tonight, making Beal a worthy stud to build around. In these last three with Dinwiddie missing, Beal has slid over to point guard and produced 58.6 DraftKings points per game, including two double-doubles. In the 688 minutes he has played with Dinwiddie off the floor this season, Beal has posted a 31% usage rate, a 32.5% assist percentage and 1.22 DraftKings points per minute. On the menu for tonight is a juicy matchup against the Rockets. This season Houston ranks second to last in defensive efficiency and fourth in pace. The Wizards carry the second-highest implied team on the slate in this spot (118.5 points), and this game’s total is the second largest on the board (229.5 points).

Beal has 60-fantasy-point upside tonight and is an outstanding option on both sites. At a sub-$10,000 salary on FanDuel, he is one of the best values on the slate. As for DraftKings, Awesemo is projecting Beal for single-digit ownership, making him a must-have for GPPs.

Boom: Trey Lyles: $4,700 DraftKings/$4,800 FanDuel

46.9% DraftKings Boom/34.1% FanDuel Boom

Lyles is an excellent value play with Isaiah Stewart (conditioning) and Jerami Grant (thumb) both unavailable. In the two games Lyles has been active for without these two players this season, he has started at center for the Pistons and generated 38.6 DraftKings points in 35.6 minutes per game. Lyles scores 1 DraftKings points per minute with Stewart and Grant off the court and should receive over 30 minutes tonight in a dream spot against the Hornets. Charlotte ranks 28th in defensive efficiency and second in pace. Furthermore, they are surrendering the most rebounds in the NBA, and this game’s total is the third highest on the slate (228 points).

In this spot Lyles’ props are 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists on BetMGM, which is already 24.25 DraftKings points before defensive stats and bonuses. In Awesemo’s projections Lyles is a top-10 value on the slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel.
