NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Optimizer & Ownership Projections for DraftKings & FanDuel

After a small NBA daily fantasy slate yesterday, there are nine games on the schedule for tonight. NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Nov. 5

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

SG C.J. McCollum — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

C.J. McCollum has been fantastic this season, posting usage rates above 28% and playing high minutes. Since he is letting it fly from long range this season, attempting at least eight shots from 3-point range in all but one game, he can be expected to score at least 20 points, but he has the upside for a huge performance. McCollum is also a guard that grabs rebounds, consistently gets at least one steal, and he sets his teammates up well. For his price, he is extremely safe, but he also has tournament-winning upside every time he steps onto the floor. According to Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool, McCollum has a floor of about 35 points and a ceiling of 48.

PF Giannis Antetokounmpo — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

Speaking of safe, Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to fill up the stat sheet every single night, regardless of who his opponent is and which teammates of his are healthy. While there is a chance Jrue Holiday will return to the lineup tonight, the Bucks will continue to be without Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and Donte DiVincenzo. Facing a good Knicks team, Antetokounmpo is expected to lead the team in scoring, especially with Middleton out. He put up a 24-point triple-double the last time he faced them, and it could be a similar result tonight. To nobody’s surprise, Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool gives Giannis the highest ceiling on the slate.

PG Jordan Poole — Grades: B, B | Values: B, A

The Warriors have asked for someone to step up in scoring to take some pressure off Stephen Curry. It has been Jordan Poole to answer the call more often than not, and he is coming off a 31-point outburst last game. He has the perfect matchup to keep the momentum going. New Orleans ranks dead last in defensive efficiency this season (110.8), while Golden State ranks third in pace (103.9). This is expected to be a high-scoring game, with the Warriors having the fourth-highest projected team total of the night, per Fantasy Cruncher.

PG Patrick Beverley — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

Patrick Beverley does not need any motivation to play like a psycho on the court. However, he had a revenge game against the Clippers last time out, which resulted in him being two assists shy of a triple-double. He gets a rematch with the same team tonight, where he should play motivated basketball once again. Beverley has quietly been solid for NBA fantasy this season, filling up the box score with assists and hustle stats. Awesemo’s projections give Beverley the highest value on DraftKings (8.67) and one of the highest on FanDuel (3.73).
