DraftKings + FanDuel Boom/Bust Projections | April 20
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom CandidatesÂ
Hassan Whiteside vs. Timberwolves: $5,800 DraftKings/$5,400 FanDuel
32.5% DraftKings Boom/55.3% FanDuel Boom
Whiteside moved in to the starting lineup for the Kings in their last game. He only played 19 minutes, but he produced good results by scoring 27.5 DraftKings while dropping a double-double. Due to all the injuries that the Kings are dealing with, Whiteside should stick in the starting lineup. Marvin Bagley and Richaun Holmes are out, which leaves Sacramento thin in the frontcourt. The game script for their last game was a bit wonky, and that’s the reason Whiteside didn’t play more minutes. The Kings took a big lead over the Mavericks and then Dallas played small in the second half, so there wasn’t a need to get Whiteside on the court for extended minutes. He should play more tonight to match up against Karl-Anthony Towns.
Enes Kanter vs. Clippers: $6,100 DraftKings/$5,500 FanDuel
25% DraftKings Boom/45.5% FanDuel Boom
The Trail Blazers have a tough game against the Clippers, and they are going into it short-handed. Damian Lillard remains out with a hamstring injury, and Jusuf Nurkic is out for rest. This means Kanter should start again, and there is opportunity for increased usage. The last time Nurkic rested, Kanter moved into the starting lineup and pulled down 30 rebounds while scoring 24 points. Overall, he’s averaging 35.48 DraftKings points in 34 games as a starting center. This makes him a bit too cheap on both sites and especially so on FanDuel.

Kyrie Irving vs. Pelicans: $9,900 DraftKings/$9,400 FanDuel
21.4% DraftKings Boom/39.8% FanDuel Boom
Not only is James Harden still out, but Kevin Durant is sidelined again due to a thigh injury. Durant’s injury doesn’t appear serious, but it will force him out for at least this one game. Without his All-Star teammates, Irving is left to carry the offense on his own. When both of them are off the court this season, Irving has a 34.5% usage rate and scores 55.93 DraftKings points per 36 minutes. As a nice boost, the Nets are playing against a weak Pelicans defense in a game with a 235.5 total.
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Kawhi Leonard vs. Trail Blazers: $9,200 DraftKings/$9,900 FanDuel
61.6% DraftKings Bust/59.6% FanDuel Bust
The Clippers play again tomorrow, and they do all sorts of funky things when playing back-to-back sets. Since the Blazers are missing Lillard and Nurkic for tonight’s game, it is at least somewhat likely that Leonard or Paul George will rest or end up playing limited minutes. Do not roster anyone from the Clippers until certain about the starting lineup.
