Week 4 of the NFL is here, and Awesemo has a ton of great tools and [main page link sport=”nfl” link=”19″] to help you tackle all the largest contests in DFS. This article will take you through and highlight some of the week’s highest projected Yahoo NFL picks at each position on the Week 4 main slate, all based on Awesemo’s projections and models. We will also provide insight into ownership projections and provide some other matchup information for optimal Yahoo NFL picks for daily fantasy lineups each week.

Week 4 Yahoo NFL Picks, Grades & Values

Top Graded QB: Josh Allen | Grades: A, Values: A

Josh Allen has a points projection 4 points above the next-highest quarterback. The Awesemo projections have not seen a top quarterback with that kind of separation all year. The fear with Allen for most people will be that Buffalo (as 16-point favorites) will somehow take their foot off the gas pedal and Allen’s fantasy total will suffer. Those fears are almost always unfounded, though. Allen also has six red-zone carries this year, so another multi-touchdown day is certainly in the cards. There is no need to get fancy with Allen.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 26.9%

Top Value QB: Jacoby Brissett | Grades: C, Values: A

Jacoby Brissett will be getting another start this week, this time against the Colts. The Colts have been good opponents for opposing quarterbacks, as they have ceded 8.7 yards per pass attempt this year, which is fifth worst in the league. Brissett only averaged 4.7 yards per pass last week, but that number should rise here. His real upside is as a rusher, especially in short-yardage situations. He went for a 1-yard touchdown last week while rushing seven times. His point projection in the Awesemo model this week has him in front of much more popular names.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 1.0%

Top Graded RB: Alvin Kamara | Grades: A, Values: C

It has been a slow start for Alvin Kamara, but the projections like him for a breakout game in Week 4. The Giants this year have ceded 4.6 yards per carry and allowed Melvin Gordon to reach 101 yards on just 11 carries. Kamara is going to be the best running back they have faced in 2021, and while he is seeing fewer targets than he has in years past, Kamara is still playing on over 80% of the snaps and should get going on the ground here. New Orleans has rushed the ball 31.5 times per games, so staying patient with Kamara — who has the best Yahoo DFS projection by over 2 points — is recommended.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 30.2%

Top Value RB: D’Andre Swift | Grades: C, Values: A

D’Andre Swift is likely going to be one of the most popular plays on Yahoo. His DFS price of $16 makes him the best pure value at running back. It is hard to make a case to fade Swift here too. He is sharing touches with Jamaal Williams but still comes into this game averaging 11 carries and seven targets per game. Those PPR points are not likely to dry up soon given the state of Detroit’s wide receiver corps, which combined for just eight catches total last week. By comparison, Detroit’s running backs caught nine passes. Keep using Swift at these levels until something with the Detroit offense changes.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 34.8%

Top Graded WR: D.J. Moore | Grades: A, Values: A

D.J. Moore has 31 targets, 17 more than any other wide receiver on the Panthers, and in a great matchup with the Cowboys, who have allowed 7.7 yards per pass attempt. Moore is the clear WR1 for his team yet is only priced at $20 here, a tag that puts him well below other elite wide receivers. Moore also has the best value score on Awesemo. Even with projected 21% rostership, he is likely still going under-rostered and makes for good chalk.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 21.6%

Top Value WR: Brandin Cooks | Grades: B, Values: B

Though Buffalo has a great pass defense, the Texans are 16-point underdogs. The stage is set for plenty of garbage time and prevent defenses for Brandin Cooks to face, a situation that could propel him to some solid fantasy production. Even if this game ends up closer than its projected, Cooks has played extremely well in 2021 and comes in averaging 11 targets per game and 14 yards per reception, great numbers considering the quarterback rotation he has been dealt. He is one of the top values, as his $19 price tag seems to be giving Buffalo’s defense a little too much credit and not factoring in game flow or Cooks’ hot start to the year.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 9.3%

Top Graded TE: George Kittle | Grades: A, Values: C

While he is only projected to be the third-highest-scoring tight end, George Kittle is a screaming value as just the fourth-most expensive tight end, at just $22. He has taken a back seat to Deebo Samuel in terms of target volume, but his usage picked up last week when he saw nine targets. The 49ers offense is going a little under the radar here, as they are projected for the fifth-highest total, so the potential for Kittle to finally find the end zone here is higher than it has been in recent weeks. He is a great value and has a legit shot at being the top scorer at his position this week.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 13.8%

Top Value TE: Mike Gesicki | Grades: B, Values: B

Mike Gesicki saw 11 targets last week from Brissett, who clearly prefers to use his tight ends on shorter routes than look downfield. The Colts have allowed an 84% completion rate to opposing tight ends. Gesicki will be the best pass catcher they have faced at this position as well, so there is potential for a bigger day. He is cheap, can be paired with the top-value quarterback, comes with almost no rostership and is a top-five value play, making him a good punt for a volatile position.

Projected NFL DFS Rostership: 0.4%
