Yahoo NFL Picks: Week 12 Sunday Night Football | Browns vs. Ravens Tonight

Tonight the Baltimore Ravens are hosting the Cleveland Browns in the featured Sunday Night Football matchup, and Yahoo is offering NFL DFS single-game contests. The general concept of creating a team remains the same, but this is a one-game player pool. The twist is that any position player can be rostered, and one is designated to receive a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points. Using Awesemo’s expert NFL projections and rankings, these are the top Yahoo NFL picks for the Week 12 Sunday Night Football game tonight.

Yahoo NFL Picks: Week 12 Sunday Night Football

Top SUPERSTAR Options

The SUPERSTAR position will get a 1.5x multiplier on their Yahoo points in the single-game format. Awesemo’s NFL DFS optimizer creates daily fantasy football cheat sheets. Check out who is popping in the Yahoo NFL DFS cheat sheet for the Week 12 Sunday Night Football game.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens – $39

With the SUPERSTAR multiplier, no other player has a median projection within 15 Yahoo points of Lamar Jackson. Tonight is the fifth and final prime-time game for the Ravens. Based on Baltimore’s previous four single-game slates, Jackson should easily be represented on 95% or more of all rosters. While Jackson is at a lofty salary, viable lineups are easy to construct around him. Currently Jackson is averaging 71 yards rushing per game, which is the seventh most in the league, and he is also in the top 10 in yards passing with a career-high 271.9 per game.

Jackson is one of the best options for SUPERSTAR on Yahoo, but Matt Savoca has an even more in-depth look at the 2019 NFL MVP’s outlook tonight from a DraftKings and FanDuel standpoint in his Week 12 Sunday Night Football NFL DFS Showdown Game Breakdown.

Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns – $28

Kareem Hunt ($19) has been activated from the injured reserve and will see his first action since suffering a calf injury in Week 6. Offensive lineman Jack Conklin is also expected to be back, which will boost the Browns rushing attack. Baltimore has been stout against the run, and they are just outside the top five per Football Outsiders’ DVOA. Nick Chubb is the focal point of the Cleveland offense, and he has tallied 130 yards rushing in each of his last two games. While this is not going to be an easy matchup, he should see around two dozen touches and is the primary goal-line option.

Yahoo NFL Core Picks

Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens – $24

While Marquise Brown missed last Sunday with a thigh injury, he is expected to be available for Sunday Night Football. This season Brown has made significant improvements with his consistency, and he has seen double-digit targets in five games. Though he has several drops for what should have been long gains or even touchdowns, coach John Harbaugh keeps going back to him because he knows it takes pressure off the running game and opens up the playbook.

Devonta Freeman, Baltimore Ravens – $18

The injury to Latavius Murray ($17) opened the door for Devonta Freeman to take over the backfield. In the month without Murray, Freeman has improved enough that the team released Le’Veon Bell prior to their Week 11 matchup. With Murray back, this is probably a 60/40 split, though Freeman will likely get the first crack at the workload. The only downside is that Jackson is there to steal touchdowns and also take a significant portion of the yards rushing. This is a fair salary for Freeman, though he will need to find the end zone to be a difference maker.

Yahoo NFL Value Picks

Cleveland Bargain Pass Catchers

After missing last week with a groin injury, Donovan Peoples-Jones ($14) is expected to be active tonight. There is no reason for the Browns to rush him back early, so he becomes an intriguing option against a Ravens pass defense that is mediocre at best. Jarvis Landry ($12) may seem like a good deal, but he has been dealing with injuries all season and has not topped five receptions in any of his seven games. In his last three games he did not even reach 30 yards and the only bright spot this season was a rushing touchdown last weekend. Tight ends Austin Hooper ($12) and David Njoku ($13) are live in the red zone, though they will take a back seat to Chubb if the team is within 5 yards of pay dirt. Rashard Higgins ($10) is fine at the Yahoo minimum salary for a handful of targets, though it is unlikely he will get even a whiff of any high-leverage opportunities. It is important to note that Cleveland has not attempted more than 33 passes in any games this season, and they have an anemic 11 touchdowns passing.
