NFL Bets & Props Today: Cardinals vs. Rams

Over 49.5 Points

Both teams rank in the top 12 of the NFL in yards and points per game. The Rams have much more consistent offensively than the Cardinals, and they have plenty of weapons with Cooper Kupp, Odell Beckham, Van Jefferson, Tyler Higbee and Sony Michel. However, the Cardinals are much better offensively on the road, putting up the third-most points away from home at nearly 30 points a game — they play with much more pace. Moreover, the teams combined for at least 50 points in their two matchups this year and five of their last six meetings overall.

A.J. Green Over 3.50 Receptions and Over 43.50 Yards Receiving

Green is not the receiver he used to be, but he has shown that he can still make big plays. Green averaged 3.4 receptions per game during the regular season and 15.4 yards per reception, as he recorded 16 catches of at least 20 yards, including three of 40 yards or more. He had eight games of at least four receptions and 10 games of 50 or more yards receiving, with two of his biggest games coming against the Rams. Green grabbed 12 of 16 targets (75%) for 169 yards and one touchdown in those two games. Green is projected for 3.86 receptions and 55.06 yards tonight. OddsShopper gives the over for yards a 59% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 10%

Cooper Kupp Over 7.5 Receptions

Kupp has developed into the best receiver in the NFL, and he had a historic season, leading the league in receptions, yards and touchdowns. Kupp has shown that he can impact a game in a variety of ways. as he has a special combination of speed, toughness, great hands and elusiveness. He grabbed eight or more receptions in 13 of 17 games this season and has thrived against the Cardinals throughout his career, including hauling in 18 of 28 targets in 2021. Kupp is projected for 8.72 receptions tonight. OddsShopper gives the under a 63% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 11.0%.

Cam Akers Under 33.50 Yards Rushing

It was nice to see Akers back on the field, as he played 13 snaps in his season debut last week against San Francisco, garnering five carries for three yards. He had a long run of just two yards. Akers also caught three passes out of the backfield for 10 yards with four yards coming after the catch. So it is hard to believe that Akers will be much of a factor tonight, especially since Michel remains the Rams’ top running back option, and he has been running well. Akers is projected for 29.16 yards rushing tonight. OddsShopper gives the under a 76% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 39%.

Kyler Murray Over 23.5 Completions

Murray had his best season throwing the ball this year, although he has struggled lately. Since the expectation is that there will be lots of points on the board, and the Rams’ pass defense ranks in the bottom 10 of the league, Murray will likely be slinging the ball around quite a bit. The Cardinals ran the ball almost 48% of the time this season. However, the Cardinals like to play fast on offense, and Murray has attempted at least 38 passes in each of his last five games. He has averaged 27.2 completions over this stretch and completed at least 24 passes in half of his 14 outings.

Murray has played relatively well against the Rams this year, as he has completed 60 of 81 passes for 651 yards, though he only has two touchdown passes to go along with two interceptions. He was also sacked seven times this year by Los Angles. Overall, Murray has thrown at least 32 passes in each of his five full games against the Rams while connecting with his receivers 24 times on three of those occasions. Murray is projected for 24.91 completions tonight. OddsShopper gives the over a 60% chance of hitting and a 23% ROI.
