Aaron Jones, Allen Lazard Active For Week 12

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (knee) will play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Jones is always a must-start RB1 play when healthy and while he might not be totally healthy and the Rams defense is solid, you still have to deploy Jones in season-long leagues because of his upside. Wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) will play too and has some flex appeal. His presence means that Marquez Valdes-Scantling takes a big hit in value for Week 12.

Nov 26th · 08:18 PM
Allen Lazard Questionable To Play This Sunday

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) is listed as questionable for a Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Rams after being limited in practice all week. Lazard didn't play in the Week 11 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but he has a real chance to return this Sunday, which would make Marquez Valdes-Scantling less attractive as a boom/bust WR4/flex in deeper leagues after he caught four passes for 123 yards and a touchdown last week. Lazard does have three touchdowns this year, but he also hasn't had more than five catches or 60 receiving yards in a single game in 2021. If Lazard returns to the mix this weekend, relying on any pass-catcher in this offense not named Davante Adams will be a crapshoot in fantasy.

Allen Lazard Trending Toward A Return

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) was limited in practice on Wednesday after missing the Week 11 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Fellow receiver Malik Taylor (abdomen) was unable to practice. In Lazard's absence last week, Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught four of a team-high 10 targets for 123 yards and a touchdown. MVS will go back to being a boom/bust WR4/5 if Lazard returns to the rotation, though, and it's been impossible to predict when a secondary receiver will go off behind Adams in this offense. Lazard has 17 receptions for 210 yards and three touchdowns on 26 targets in nine games in 2021 and will be a boom/bust WR4/flex if he returns to face the Rams on Sunday.

Nov 21st · 05:13 PM
Allen Lazard Ruled Out For Week 11

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) is officially out for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Lazard was doubtful after not practicing all week, so this shouldn't come as a surprise to fantasy managers, who should have already taken Lazard out of lineups. Marquez Valdes-Scantling will see increased work against a Vikings team allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers, making him an intriguing flex option and DFS play.

Nov 20th · 02:08 AM
Allen Lazard Doubtful For Week 11

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was unable to practice this week due to a shoulder injury and appears unlikely to play this Sunday. The 25-year-old is not expected to play but has yet to be ruled for Week 11. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Malik Taylor, and Randall Cobb should see an uptick in targets while Lazard is sidelined. The Vikings have been destroyed against WR2s and rank 29th in DVOA against the opposing team's secondary targets. Fantasy managers should check back on Sunday for Lazard's official status, but if inactive, "MVS" and Cobb are on the flex radar in deep-league formats.

Nov 18th · 08:14 PM
Allen Lazard Absent Again Thursday

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday while tending to a shoulder injury. Lazard's status for Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings is firmly in question, and he'll likely need to practice on Friday to avoid being ruled out. The 25-year-old has scored a touchdown in three of the last four games, but he has only 17 receptions on the season for 210 yards in nine games and cannot be trusted as a WR4/flex on a weekly basis in 12-team leagues. If he is unable to get clearance this Sunday, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Randall Cobb could see more targets alongside No. 1 wideout Davante Adams.

Nov 17th · 11:15 PM
Allen Lazard Misses Practice Wednesday

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder) did not practice in the team's walkthrough on Wednesday. The Packers were resting several key veterans, including Davante Adams (shoulder) and quarterback Aaron Rodgers (toe), so Lazard's injury may not be that serious. Lazard's practice status on Thursday will give us a better idea of his status for the Week 11 game against the Minnesota Vikings. The 25-year-old did have three straight games with a touchdown from Weeks 6-9, but he also hasn't had more than five catches or 60 yards in a single game this season for Green Bay. Outside of Adams, it's hard to rely on any Packers receiver for consistent weekly production. In the Week 10 win over Seattle, Lazard had just one catch for six yards on four targets.

Nov 11th · 01:26 PM
Allen Lazard - Week 10 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard returned in Week 9 after a one-game absence due to COVID-19 protocols. He caught his only target for a 20-yard touchdown in last Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Packers will get back star quarterback Aaron Rodgers (COVID-19) in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. Lazard is averaging 9.7 air yards per target and owns 9% of the team's target share. The 25-year-old has reeled in 16 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns over eight games in 2021. This season, Seattle ranks 11th against fantasy wide receivers, and despite Rodgers expecting to play, Lazard is on the flex radar in deep-league formats for Week 10.

Nov 4th · 12:45 AM
Allen Lazard - Week 9 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard was reinstated from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. He was deemed a close contact of teammate Davante Adams, who tested positive COVID-19 last week and did not play in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals. The Packers will be without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was ruled out in Week 9 after testing positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. Lazard owns 10% of the team's target share and 4.9 YAC per reception, 31st among wideouts. The 25-year-old becomes a boom-or-bust flex without Rodgers in a plus matchup against the Chiefs in Week 9.

Nov 2nd · 12:54 AM
Allen Lazard Activated From COVID-19 List

The Green Bay Packers activated wide receiver Allen Lazard from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, placing running back Kylin Hill (knee) and tight end Robert Tonyan (knee) on Injured Reserve in corresponding moves. Lazard, who isn't vaccinated, went on the COVID-19 list last week as a close contact of Davante Adams. Both receivers missed the Thursday night win over the Arizona Cardinals. Green Bay could very well be in for a shootout against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, but Lazard probably will only be worth using in starting fantasy lineups if Adams remains on the COVID-19 list and misses another game. Lazard has touchdowns in his last two games, but he only has 15 receptions for 184 yards on 21 targets in seven games in 2021.

Oct 28th · 12:58 AM
Allen Lazard Won't Play Against Cardinals

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard will be out for Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals after landing on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday. Lazard was deemed a close contact but is unvaccinated and cannot be cleared in time on the short week. Stud wideout Davante Adams tested positive for the virus and also will not travel with the team in Week 8. As a result, expect the Packers to lean heavily on running backs Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon, wide receiver Randall Cobb and tight end Robert Tonyan as they look to give the Cardinals their first loss of the season. Wideouts Equanimeous St. Brown and Amari Rodgers should also see an increase in playing time with both Adams and Lazard out.

Oct 26th · 08:41 PM
Allen Lazard Joins Davante Adams On COVID-19 List

The Green Bay Packers placed wide receiver Allen Lazard on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday, a day after they placed receiver Davante Adams on the same list. On a short week against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night, Lazard and Adams, the team's top two receivers, are unlikely to be available for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Adams is the clear No. 1 for Green Bay and is one of the top receivers in the league with 52 catches on 73 targets for 744 yards and three touchdowns through seven weeks. Randall Cobb, Equanimeous St. Brown and rookie Amari Rodgers will all have bigger roles in Week 8, and the team isn't ruling out Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) returning from Injured Reserve to play. Cobb checks in third on the team with 14 catches (18 targets) for 179 yards and two scores this year, so he's the best plug-and-play option for those in deeper leagues or DFS.

Oct 24th · 11:17 PM
Allen Lazard Gets Involved On Sunday

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard finished with five catches for 60 yards during the win over the Washington Football Team in Week 7. He also found the end zone, bringing in a 10-yard toss from Aaron Rodgers just before the end of the second quarter. Although it's obvious Davante Adams is the clear-cut No. 1 wideout on the team, Lazard has made his presence known to some degree by finding the end zone in each game throughout the last two weeks. While it's probable he will cool off, those in deeper formats should keep him in mind for Thursday Night Football against the Cardinals, especially the managers navigating their way through a bye week or dealing with injuries.

Oct 18th · 01:07 AM
Allen Lazard Scores A Rare Touchdown Against Chicago

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard had only three grabs for 27 yards during the Week 6 win over the Chicago Bears. However, and more importantly, one of those receptions resulted in a touchdown, capturing a one-yard pitch from Aaron Rodgers in the second quarter. While the 25-year-old certainly had his best performance of the season, he still has a long way to go before he's considered a reliable fantasy option. Still, for those looking to fill a void in deeper leagues, he does have a small upside to consider, including during the upcoming Week 7 outing against the Washington Football Team.

Oct 4th · 12:35 AM
Allen Lazard Chips In 33 Yards

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard caught two passes for 33 yards in the Packers victory over the Steelers 27-17. Lazard's catches helped the Packers post another strong offensive outing but was overshadowed by Randall Cobb's performance. Lazard now only has five catches for 91 yards through the first four weeks this season and the Packers secondary option behind Davante Adams in the passing game is becoming a weekly dart-throw. Lazard simply lacks enough fantasy value to be rostered at this time.

Sep 27th · 05:04 AM
Allen Lazard Adds 42-Yard Reception In Win

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard caught one pass for 42 yards in the Packers win over the 49ers 30-28 in Week 3. Lazard's huge play was a bright spot after he failed to catch a pass last week. Lazard is talented, but thus far he has not been a contributor in the Packers passing offense. He will be tough to trust in fantasy without a glimmer of consistency and should continue to fight for targets with teammate Marquez Valdes-Scantling heading into Week 4.

Sep 22nd · 08:22 PM
Allen Lazard Hopes To Bounce Back

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard will try to find a role in the offense Week 3 against the 49ers. Lazard did not receive a target in the team's bounce back win over the Lions in Week 2 and has only two receptions for 16 yards through two games. The 49ers defense currently is allowing the fourth fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers. Lazard, at this time, is not worth a fantasy start until he is more involved in the offense.

Sep 15th · 08:52 PM
Allen Lazard Looking To Get Back On Track In Week 2

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard will try and put his Week 1 performance behind him when the team lines up against the Lions in Week 2. Lazard was held to only two catches for 16 yards against the Saints but will face a very shaky Lions secondary. The Lions surrendered 34 offensive points to the 49ers last week and last season surrendered the third most fantasy points to opposing receivers. The Packers will be on a mission to get their start back on track and Lazard could be the beneficiary. Lazard should be viewed as a WR4 option on fantasy rosters for Week 2.

Sep 8th · 12:25 AM
Can Allen Lazard Repeat Success Against Saints?

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard will try and get his season off on the right track Week 1 against the Saints. Lazard is hoping to hold off teammate Marquez Valdes-Scantling in securing the team's WR2 role on the team and gets a chance to prove that against the Saints. New Orleans surrendered the 16th fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers last year but Lazard enjoyed a huge game against them in 2020. In Week 3 last year, Lazard caught six passes for 146 yards with one touchdown. Lazard may not be the most ideal option to start in most fantasy formats for Week 1 but could present excellent value in DFS tournaments.

Aug 19th · 07:31 PM
Allen Lazard Can Be Asset In Running Game

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard is currently competing to be the team's WR2 next to Davante Adams when the season begins. Lazard got off to a strong start last season, averaging 84.6 receiving yards a game through the first three games. But injuries brought his strong start to a crawl and finished the season with 477 yards and three touchdowns. Lazard is a critical part of the offense and also is the best run blocker among any of the wide receivers. Among 108 wide receivers graded, Lazard received the highest run-block grade (85.8) since 2019. The connection with Rodgers is obvious and Lazard could become a legitimate fantasy asset this season if he can stay on the field.

Jul 20th · 02:55 AM
Health Will Be Key For Allen Lazard

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard will head into training camp hoping to put the injuries of last season behind him. When on the field Lazard was a threat in 2020, catching 33 passes for 451 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games played. All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers hit Lazard on some deep passes last season and the 25-year-old receiver is hoping for more of the same. Lazard's fantasy value will be tied to health and whether Rodgers decides to play for Green Bay this season.

Jan 24th · 11:57 PM
Allen Lazard Totals 62 Yards In Defeat

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard caught three passes for 62 yards in the team's 31-26 loss to the Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game. Lazard saw six targets in the game and made some nice contributions as the Packers played from behind most of the game. Lazard got off to a solid start this season but injuries prevented him from taking his game to another level. The 25-year-old finished the regular season with 33 receptions for 451 yards with three touchdowns. But the Packers head into the offseason still looking for a true complementary receiver to produce alongside star receiver Davante Adams. Whether Lazard can step into that role will depend on his development during the offseason.

Jan 17th · 12:55 AM
Allen Lazard Notches 58-Yard Touchdown Against Rams

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard caught four passes for a team-high 96 yards with one touchdown in the Packers 32-18 triumph over the Rams in the NFC Divisional Round. Lazard was targeted eight times in the game but finally exploded in the fourth quarter, catching a bomb from quarterback Aaron Rodgers and sprinting to the end zone for a 58-yard score. The Rams did all they could to take star receiver Davante Adams out of the offensive game plan but Rodgers hit big with his secondary receivers. Adams will continue to get the headlines but receivers like Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will carry fantasy sleeper appeal in tournaments for the NFC Championship Game next week.

Jan 14th · 01:03 AM
Allen Lazard Limited In Practice

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard (core, wrist) was limited in practice on Wednesday heading into the team's playoff matchup against the Rams on Saturday. Lazard got off to a strong start this season, but injuries dragged down his production, as he caught only 33 passes for 451 yards and three touchdowns in the regular season. If Lazard can suit up, he will face a Rams secondary that allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers during the regular season. The Rams may try and double team star receiver Davante Adams, which could free up players like Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Even if he is healthy for the game, however, Lazard will be a long shot to produce much for fantasy managers this weekend.

Jan 13th · 03:04 AM
Allen Lazard, Equanimeous St. Brown Limited Tuesday

Green Bay Packers wide receivers Allen Lazard (core, wrist) and Equanimeous St. Brown (ankle, knee) and linebacker Za'Darius Smith (ankle, thumb) were all limited in practice on Tuesday. Unless they suffer setbacks this week, all three players should be available for the Divisional Round against the Rams on Saturday. Lazard has caught only four passes for 31 yards in the last two games and hasn't scored or gone over 56 yards receiving since Week 12 against the Bears. St. Brown scored his first touchdown in Week 16 against the Titans, but he's had more than two targets in a game just once all season. Both receivers could score at any time with Aaron Rodgers under center, but it'll be impossible to predict, especially against a very strong Rams Defense. They are both lottery tickets in fantasy playoff formats.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
