Julio Jones Designated To Return From Injured Reserve

The Tennessee Titans designated wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) to return from Injured Reserve on Monday, opening his 21-day window for the team to officially activate him from IR. Jones was placed on IR on Nov. 13, but he could officially be activated in time to play in Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars if he looks good in practice this week. The veteran wideout has been a disappointment in his first season with the Titans, mainly due to his injuries, and has only 21 catches for 336 yards in six games played. Marcus Johnson is out for the season, and A.J. Brown was put on IR on Nov. 27, so the Titans could really use another receiver to pair with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, rookie Dez Fitzpatrick and Chester Rogers. The 32-year-old Jones will almost certainly be eased back into action when he returns on game day.

Julio Jones Placed On Injured Reserve

The Tennessee Titans have placed wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) on injured reserve after his hamstring retightened this week at practice. This will cost Jones at least the next three games. Jones has played in six games, catching 21 passes for 336 yards. Injuries have kept the star receiver from living up to his name. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues can probably go ahead and move on from Jones at this point, as the 32-year-old is likely going to be a fantasy headache when he returns even if he's healthy. Would you really want to play Julio in a fantasy playoff game?

Julio Jones Finds Himself Questionable For Week 10

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) missed practice on Friday and was listed as questionable for Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. Jones just can't kick a hamstring injury that has caused him to already miss multiple games this season. He was added to the injury report on Thursday with a limited practice, and his DNP on Friday suggests he's trending in the wrong direction for Sunday. If you were planning on rolling with the veteran wideout this weekend, we'd suggest looking for other options. A.J. Brown, the team's unquestioned No. 1 receiver, could see all the targets he can handle against the Saints. If Jones is inactive, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chester Rogers would be on the field more in three-receiver sets.

Julio Jones Pops Up On Injury Report Thursday

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) popped up on the Week 10 injury report on Thursday after he was listed as limited in practice. Jones was a full participant on Wednesday, so this is something to watch as we head into the weekend, especially since it's the same injury that has caused Jones to miss multiple games this season. Nagging lower-body injuries continue to limit Jones and slow him down in his first season with the Titans. The 32-year-old has 21 catches on 31 targets for 336 yards and no touchdowns in six games in 2021 and is the clear No. 2 to A.J. Brown. The Titans could be open to passing the ball more with Derrick Henry (foot) potentially done for the season, but Jones is still a shaky WR3/flex with his nagging hamstring injury.

Julio Jones - Week 10 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones returned last Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams after missing Week 8 with a hamstring injury. He caught four receptions for 35 yards in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Rams. Jones will look to bounce back and will get a familiar opponent in the New Orleans Saints. The 32-year-old has dominated the Saints in the past, hauling in 102 catches for 1,615 yards and three touchdowns over 18 games against New Orleans in his career. He has yet to find the end zone this season but could see an uptick in targets in Week 10 if Saints star cornerback Marshon Lattimore is assigned to handle A.J. Brown. Jones owns 18% of the team's target percentage and is averaging 11.9 air yards per target. The former Atlanta Falcon is a low-end WR3 against the Saints in Week 10.

Julio Jones Catches Four Passes In Return

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) caught all four of his targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 28-16 win over the Los Angeles Rams. He returned to action Sunday after missing Week 8 with a hamstring injury. The 32-year-old has been a disappointment for fantasy managers in 2021 as he has yet to find the end zone over six games. Titans star RB Derrick Henry (foot) will be sidelined for the next 6-to-8 weeks; Jones should see a bump in usage and look to bounce back in the second half of the season. The former Atlanta Falcon is a buy-low candidate and will look to find the end zone for the first time in 2021 against the New Orleans Saints in Week 10.

Julio Jones Will Play Sunday Night

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) was limited in practice all week, but he was removed from the final Week 9 injury report on Friday and will play on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams. It's good news, considering A.J. Brown (knee) is now questionable after missing practice on Friday with a knee injury. If Brown cannot go, Jones would likely be quarterback Ryan Tannehill's No. 1 target, with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine probably serving as the No. 2 pass-catcher in the first game without running back Derrick Henry (foot). Jones would be more attractive from a fantasy standpoint, obviously, if Brown is inactive, but that might also mean attention from Rams lockdown cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The 32-year-old missed Week 8 and has only 17 catches for 301 scoreless yards in five games in his first year with the Titans.

Julio Jones Back At Titans Practice Wednesday

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) was back at practice on Wednesday after missing last week's game following an aggravation of his hamstring injury. While it's not 100% clear that Jones is out of the woods and will practice this week, this is a huge first step. The Titans could really use him, as they figure to be a more pass-heavy offense without running back Derrick Henry (foot). The Titans will have a tough matchup against the Rams this week, but Jones could be viewed as a low-end WR2 due to potential volume if he's able to return on Sunday night. His return would also help the value of quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who figures to be a safe QB1 streamer without Henry.

Julio Jones Ruled Out In Week 8

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of the team's Week 8 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. Jones has been dealing with this nagging injury since Week 4, and it will cause him to miss his third game of the season. The former Atlanta Falcon reaggravated his hamstring against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6 but was then able to play against the Chiefs in Week 7, albeit catching just two passes for 38 yards. In his absence, A.J. Brown should once again be in for a huge game against a decimated Colts' secondary, after he posted a season-high 133 yards and a touchdown in Week 7. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine should see an increase in targets without Jones active, but he makes for a risky FLEX play as the Titans are likely to lean heavily on the run once again in this game.

Oct 29th · 12:53 AM
Julio Jones Still Missing Thursday

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday. Jones missed Weeks 4 and 5 with a bad hammy and continues to deal with the injury heading into a Week 8 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. The 32-year-old has a history of nagging lower-body injuries and probably won't be practicing much this year, but these injuries are catching up to him towards the end of his career. And he's in danger of missing his third game of the season. Jones does have a 100-yard game in his first year in Tennessee, but he has just 17 catches for 301 yards and no touchdowns in his five games to this point. If he plays, he'll be a touchdown-dependent WR3/flex as the clear No. 2 well behind A.J. Brown.

Oct 28th · 12:12 AM
Julio Jones Resting Wednesday

Tennessee Titans wide receivers Julio Jones (hamstring) and Chester Rogers (groin) didn't practice on Wednesday. A.J. Brown also received a veteran's day of rest on Wednesday after dealing with food poisoning last week. Jones aggravated a hamstring injury that kept him out for a couple games in Week 6, but he played in the Week 7 win over the Kansas City Chiefs and caught two of four targets for 38 yards. Jones played a season-low 29 snaps in the blowout win over KC, and he's recorded more than three catches in a game just once in his first year with the Titans. The veteran pass-catcher has yet to find the end zone, either, but he does get a nice matchup with a shaky Indianapolis Colts secondary in Week 8. Jones caught three of four targets for 47 yards in the Week 3 win over the Colts, but he remains the clear No. 2 behind Brown and is a touchdown-dependent WR3/flex.

Oct 25th · 01:12 AM
Julio Jones Quiet In Week 7 Win Over the Chiefs

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones caught 2-of-4 targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. This week, he was limited in practice due to a hamstring injury and was held to just two catches in Sunday's win. The former Atlanta Falcon was second in the team in targets but far behind star wideout A.J. Brown, who drew nine. Jones has yet to find the end zone and topped 50 receiving yards or more, just twice this season. Jones is considered a boom-or-bust WR3 and will look to turn things around against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.

Oct 24th · 12:27 PM
Julio Jones Expected To Play Against Chiefs

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) expressed optimism that he would be ready to play against Kansas City, with NFL Network's Ian Rapoport noting that that is the team's expectation. Jones suffered a hamstring injury a few weeks ago, sidelining him for two games- though he aggravated the injury during his team's win over the Bills on Monday night. Still, it seems like Jones, who will take on a Chiefs defense that ranks 31st in pass DVOA, will be out there for a big game Sunday. His recent injury track record makes him a risky play, but it could pay off if Sunday's game becomes high-scoring.

Oct 22nd · 06:08 PM
Julio Jones Feeling Good

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) said he feels pretty good and is excited about Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Jones aggravated a hamstring injury in Week 6 that kept him out the previous two weeks, but it sounds like he has a pretty good chance of playing on Sunday. There's a good chance that Jones is listed as questionable on the final injury report, but we'd consider him to be on the right side of questionable after returning to practice this week. Still, the aging wideout continues to be slowed by nagging lower-body injuries and has become a shaky WR4/flex option for fantasy managers as the clear No. 2 behind A.J. Brown. The good news is the Titans could be forced to throw often in Week 7 against a Chiefs team that can put up points with the best of them.

Julio Jones Gets In Some Work Thursday

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) returned to practice on Thursday but worked out on his own during the individual period. Kicker Randy Bullock (shoulder) and running back Jeremy McNichols (ankle) also returned to practice after sitting out on Wednesday. Jones' return to practice is the most notable after he was ruled out late in the Monday night win over the Buffalo Bills after aggravating a hamstring injury that had kept him out the previous two weeks. The veteran pass-catcher didn't do much in that game other than getting a fortunate pass on one deep completion. There's a good chance Jones is still questionable for Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. With injuries building up at the skill positions, the Titans worked out receivers Pharoh Cooper and Brandon Powell and running back Dontrell Hilliard on Thursday.

Oct 20th · 11:30 PM
Julio Jones Misses Another Practice Wednesday

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) did not suit up for practice on Wednesday. Jones missed Weeks 4 and 5 before returning on Monday night in Week 6, only to aggravate his hamstring and get ruled out late in the game against the Buffalo Bills. The 32-year-old typically would play through nagging lower-body injuries in his time with the Atlanta Falcons, but it appears that those injuries and Father Time are catching up to the All-Pro receiver. Jones still has time to return to practice later this week, but as of right now, he seems unlikely to be ready for this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. He had three catches for 59 yards before leaving on Monday with his injury. If Jones plays, he'd likely be somewhat limited and would be a risky WR4/flex option, even in a nice matchup with the Chiefs.

Oct 19th · 07:28 PM
Julio Jones Day-To-Day With Hamstring Injury

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) will take it "day by day," according to head coach Mike Vrabel. Jones reaggravated his hamstring injury on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills, so his status for Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs looks like it is trending in the wrong direction. The veteran has struggled to stay healthy going back to last year, so the Titans could take a cautious approach with their star wideout to ensure he gets back to full health. If he is to be held out of the lineup, A.J. Brown would enter WR1 territory considering he will likely have a massive target share. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine would once again have a larger role but would only have FLEX appeal in deeper leagues.

Oct 19th · 03:28 AM
Julio Jones Ruled Out Late On Monday Night

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) was ruled out late in the fourth quarter of the Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills. Jones had missed the previous two games with a hamstring injury that appears to have aggravated on Monday night. Heading into a short week against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, it seems unlikely that Jones will be able to suit up. Before leaving the game with a gimpy hamstring, the veteran receiver caught three of his five targets for 59 scoreless yards. Jones has one 100-yard game in his first season with Tennessee, but he's yet to find the end zone and could miss more time moving forward. The nagging leg injuries seem to be adding up for the 32-year-old. A.J. Brown is the clear lead target in this passing game, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chester Rogers will have bigger roles if Jones misses additional time.

Oct 17th · 05:08 PM
Julio Jones Will Return On Monday Night

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) practiced in full all week and will be active on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. Jones will return after a two-game absence, but it's a tough matchup against a team that is allowing the fewest fantasy points per game (14.4) to the wide receiver position through the first five weeks of the 2021 season. The 32-year-old did go for 128 yards on six catches in the Week 2 win over the Seattle Seahawks, but Jones has combined for only six catches for 76 yards in his other two games and has yet to find the end zone in his first year in Tennessee. In the difficult matchup on Monday night in this run-first offense, Jones profiles as more of a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex in his first game back.

Oct 14th · 08:58 PM
A.J. Brown, Julio Jones Practicing In Full

Tennessee Titans wide receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and Julio Jones (hamstring) were both full participants in practice on Thursday. It's more notable for Jones, who has missed the last two games. He's now on track to play on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills. Brown was able to return last week but caught just three of his six targets for 38 yards in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Buffalo's defense is one of the best in the NFL, and they are allowing the fewest fantasy points per game (14.4) to wide receivers through five weeks, so fantasy managers should temper their expectations for both Brown and Jones. Brown is the safer option as more of a low-end WR2 in Tennessee's run-first offense. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill will have more upside with the return of Jones, but he's still a smart fade against Buffalo's defense.

Oct 13th · 07:17 PM
Julio Jones Back at Practice on Wednesday

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones was back at the open portion of practice on Wednesday after missing the last two weeks with a hamstring injury. Considering the Titans play on Monday night, the fact that Jones is already practicing on Wednesday should lead to some optimism for his return against the Bills. The Titans' defense has not played particularly well this season, so there is a chance the team will need to pass often to keep up with Buffalo's explosive offense. However, the Bills have also struggled to contain Derrick Henry in the past, and we know the Titans will ride their star until they absolutely can't anymore. As a result, Jones is a risky WR3 or FLEX play this week.

Oct 8th · 06:41 PM
Julio Jones To Miss Second Straight Game

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) will miss his second straight game with a hamstring injury in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jones didn't practice all week. The good news for Tennessee is that A.J. Brown (hamstring) is expected to return after also missing the Week 4 loss to the New York Jets. With both Brown and Jones out last Sunday, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine saw a team-high 81% of the offensive snaps, but he's questionable to play this weekend. Josh Reynolds and Chester Rogers filled out three-receiver sets. Reynolds had a team-high six catches for 59 yards on nine targets. Reynolds could be worth a dart throw in DFS if Westbrook-Ikhine sits out on Sunday.

Oct 7th · 08:10 PM
Julio Jones Misses Another Practice

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday. Jones looks to be on the wrong side of questionable for a Week 5 meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it would be his second straight absence if he can't play. The good news is that A.J. Brown returned to practice this week after also missing the Week 4 loss to the New York Jets with a hamstring ailment. The 32-year-old Jones did go over 100 yards receiving in Week 2, but his other two games left a lot to be desired. Brown will be a must-start fantasy wideout if he's back on the field Sunday, but Jones' up-in-the-air status shouldn't make fantasy managers confident. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Josh Reynolds would likely make up three-receiver sets with Brown if Jones can't play.

Oct 6th · 10:18 PM
Julio Jones Remains Out Of Practice

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday after missing the Week 4 loss to the New York Jets. Receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (hamstring) also missed practice. Jones will need to practice in the next few days to have a shot at playing in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Westbrook-Ikhine saw eight targets without Jones and A.J. Brown (hamstring) last week, but he caught just three of those targets for 29 yards in the overtime loss. With Brown on track to return this Sunday, Westbrook-Ikhine would be nothing more than a WR4/flex in deeper leagues if he plays. Josh Reynolds, who saw a team-high nine targets, could again be in line for a bigger workload if Jones misses another game.

Oct 1st · 06:19 PM
A.J. Brown, Julio Jones Ruled Out In Week 4

The Tennessee Titans have ruled out both wide receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and Julio Jones (hamstring) for the Week 4 game against the New York Jets after they both missed practice all week. With their top two receivers sidelined, the Titans will ask Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chester Rogers, Cameron Batson and Josh Reynolds to step up. Tight end Anthony Firkser (knee), who missed the last two games, could be a deep sleeper at the tight end position, but we suspect the Titans will just lean more heavily on their trusted ground game and workhorse running back Derrick Henry. Westbrook-Ikhine caught all four of his targets for 53 yards and a touchdown to lead the team last week when Brown and Jones were both injured, and he figures to be the best dart throw in deeper leagues.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
