Tom Brady To Take Time Before Deciding Future

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will take some time before deciding his future at the end of the postseason, whenever that may be. The future Hall of Famer has routinely made it known that age wouldn't be the deciding factor regarding retirement. Still, the 44-year-old, who will be 45 before the 2021-22 campaign commences, could be playing his final game if the Bucs can't get past the Rams in the Divisional round. Despite his advanced NFL age, Brady hasn't shown any signs of slowing down, and he finished the regular season with a career-high 5,316 yards to go along with 43 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Nonetheless, if the veteran does return for another season, he will likely remain one of the most sought-after fantasy options at the position.

Tom Brady Leads Tampa Past Philly

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady finished with 271 yards and two touchdowns on 29-for-37 passing during the Wild Card win over the Eagles. Despite being without Chris Godwin (knee) and the recently-released Antonio Brown, the veteran did his best to get everyone involved, including Mike Evans, who finished with nine catches for 117 yards and touchdown. Nevertheless, Brady will look to keep it going and is always in the running for DFS lineups, regardless of who Tampa is hosting in the Divisional round.

Tom Brady Quiet In Week 16

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady went 18-for-30 for 232 yards with only one touchdown and no interceptions against the Carolina Panthers in Week 16. Brady didn't need to do much, which is always a risk for his fantasy value, but his minimal output shouldn't be concerning to fantasy managers. It's easy to point to Brady's lack of wide receivers, which led to the veteran's poor outing, but he just didn't need to do much in such a non-competitive game. Star wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) could be returning as soon as next week, which would make up an elite receiving corps with Antonio Brown. Fantasy managers shouldn't worry too much about Brady, as he'll remain a QB1 regardless, but if Evans remains out next week, Brady's floor may be slightly lowered.

Tom Brady Struggles In Shutout Loss To Saints

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 26 of 48 pass attempts for 214 yards, no touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 9-0 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The 44-year-old failed to throw a touchdown pass for the second time in 2021 and was sacked a season-high four times in the Week 15 loss. He could be without his top targets in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers, too, as both wide receivers Chris Godwin (knee) and Mike Evans (hamstring) exited Sunday's loss early. Despite the rough performance, Brady is a low-end QB1 against Carolina next Sunday.

Tom Brady - Week 15 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady keeps rolling and has thrown for 300 plus yards and two touchdowns in three of his last four games. He will get the New Orleans Saints in Week 15 in a divisional showdown Sunday night. The 44-year-old threw for 375 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions in his previous game against the Saints. New Orleans allows 245 passing yards a game and has allowed the 15th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in 2021. Brady is having an MVP caliber season and is a must-start option in Week 15.

Tom Brady Continues Impressive Season In Win Over Buffalo

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 31-of-46 passes for 363 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and added 16 yards and another score on seven rushes in Sunday's 33-27 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills. In overtime, he capped off his impressive performance with a game-winning 58-yard touchdown strike to wide receiver Breshad Perriman. The 44-year-old is having an MVP season, throwing for 4,134 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions while rushing for 68 yards and two scores over 13 games in 2021. Brady will look to build on Sunday's performance against the New Orleans Saints in Week 15.

Dec 9th · 02:29 PM
Tom Brady - Week 14 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady faces a familiar foe in the Buffalo Bills in Week 14. The Bills defense has been tough all season and ranks first in pass DVOA but will be without star cornerback Tre'Davious White, who sustained a torn ACL during the Thanksgiving game against the Saints. Brady had played well against this defensive scheme when he was a member of the New England Patriots and will have better offensive weapons this time around. The GOAT has been terrific this season, throwing for 3,771 yards, 34 touchdowns, 10 interceptions while rushing for 52 yards, and a score over 12 games in 2021. Brady is a surefire QB1 and a must-start in Week 14 against the Bills.

Tom Brady Shreds Falcons Defense With Four Touchdowns

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 38-of-51 passes for 368 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 30-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He also rushed once for minus-1 yards. The 44-year-old continues to shred the Falcons defense and has now thrown 15 touchdowns (averages 3.75 TDs) against them over his last four games. He connected twice with old friend Rob Gronkowski and once apiece with Leonard Fournette and Cameron Brate. Brady is having another terrific season, throwing for 3,771 yards, 34 touchdowns, 10 interceptions while rushing for 52 yards, and a score in 12 games in 2021. The GOAT is a surefire QB1 and a must-start against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.

Tom Brady - Week 13 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady faces the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13, a defense that he's shredded in the past. The 44-year-old is averaging a whopping 3.6 touchdown passes (11 TD: 1 INT) over his last three appearances against Atlanta. He has been terrific this season, throwing for 3,403 yards, 30 touchdowns, nine interceptions while rushing for 53 yards, and a score over 11 games in 2021. Brady is a surefire top-5 option, and a must-start against a Falcons defense ranked 31st in pass DVOA.

Nov 27th · 01:28 PM
Tom Brady - Week 12 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has been terrific and will continue to have his incredible run this season against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 12. He's thrown for 3,177 yards and a 29:8 TD: INT ratio while rushing for 51 yards and a score over 11 games in 2021. The Colts have struggled against the pass this season. Indianapolis ranks 20th in DVOA against the pass and has given up the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Brady is about as safe as they come for a fantasy starting quarterback and is a surefire top-5 option against the Colts.

Tom Brady Comes Up Short Against Washington

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 23-of-34 passes for 220 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the team's surprising 29-19 loss to the Washington Football Team in Week 10. Tampa Bay got off to a rough offensive start as Brady was tagged with two interceptions in the first half, putting the Bucs in a hole early. Brady would rally in the second half, finding tight end Cameron Brate and wide receiver Mike Evans for touchdowns to make the game close. The defending Super Bowl Champs have now lost two games in a row and Brady has four interceptions during that span. The Buccaneers hope to be healthier offensively when they take the field next Monday night against the Giants in Week 11.

Nov 11th · 10:32 PM
Tom Brady - Week 10 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady draws an excellent matchup in Week 10 against the Washington Football Team. Brady will likely be without Antonio Brown (ankle), Chris Godwin (foot), and Rob Gronkowski (back) on Sunday, but it might not matter as much, considering Washington's secondary ranks 31st in the league in pass DVOA. The veteran signal-caller is also rolling, having thrown for multiple scores in each of his last four games played. Brady will remain a strong QB1, even without some of his most trusted weapons.

Nov 1st · 12:43 AM
Tom Brady Fires Four Touchdowns In Loss To Saints

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 28 of 40 passes for 375 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's loss to New Orleans. Brady got off to a slow start in the first half, as he was bothered by the Saints defense, though he warmed up after the break, firing three of his scores in the second half. The veteran signal-caller was uncharacteristically sloppy with the ball, as he nearly matched his season total in interceptions in the contest. Still, Brady has as much fantasy upside as any quarterback in the league, as evidenced by his five games with at least four touchdown passes. Brady and the Buccaneers will head into a Week 9 bye before a favorable Week 10 matchup against Washington.

Oct 29th · 10:45 PM
Tom Brady - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will take on the division-rival Saints in Week 8. Brady has been spectacular this year, as he has completed 67 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,275 yards with a league-high 21 touchdown passes against just three interceptions. The Saints' defense has been one of the best units in the league but has been slightly more susceptible to the pass this year. If New Orleans bottles up the run game, Brady could be in line for another 40-plus passing attempts, which should be more than enough for a QB1 finish in Week 8.

Oct 24th · 11:33 PM
Tom Brady Tosses Four Touchdowns Against Bears

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady finished Sunday's win over Chicago by going 20-for-36 for 211 yards and four touchdowns. This was just another brilliant performance by Brady, who at age 44 is showing no signs of slowing down. This is now the legendary QB's fourth game this season with at least four passing touchdowns. Given the Bucs have an easier schedule than most teams going forward, Brady remains in the QB1 tier weekly.

Oct 23rd · 01:08 PM
Tom Brady - Week 7 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is a QB1 against the Bears in Week 7. The 44-year-old has generally been stellar this season, posting decent weekly totals mixed in with only a couple of "mediocre" performances. Overall, the QB already has 2,064 yards with 17 touchdowns to only three picks. His arsenal of weapons has allowed him to air out the ball more and post better numbers. The Bears are a stiffer challenge against fantasy quarterbacks, but Brady is still in the QB1 tier given the way he has been playing this season.

Oct 15th · 11:39 AM
Tom Brady Throws For 297 Yards, Two Scores In Thursday's Win

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 34 of 42 passes for 297 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Thursday's win over the Eagles. Seemingly unbothered by his thumb injury, Brady led two touchdown drives in the opening quarter, completing 11 of his first 12 passes. While the offense stalled a bit after that, it was still a solid day for the veteran signal-caller, who has thrown for 2,064 yards, 17 touchdowns, and just three interceptions through six weeks of play. Brady told reporters in the postgame that he felt fine physically, so the thumb should be of no concern for fantasy managers moving forward. Up next is a tough Week 7 matchup with the Bears, who rank fourth in pass DVOA.

Oct 13th · 06:37 PM
Tom Brady Expected To Play Thursday Against Eagles

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb), who got in two limited practices this week, is fully expected to play Thursday against the Eagles. Brady's status for the contest was never really in doubt, as he was able to play through the injury to the tune of five passing touchdowns and over 400 yards through the air last week. The veteran passer won't be 100 percent against Philadelphia but should still look mostly like the quarterback who has thrown for a league-leading 1,767 passing yards and 15 touchdowns, second in the NFL. Brady faces an Eagles defense that has been solid against the pass this year but struggled against a Cowboys offense with weapons similar to the ones Tampa Bay possesses. Brady should be viewed as a solid QB1 this week.

Oct 12th · 04:10 PM
Tom Brady's Thumb Wrapped On Tuesday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb) had his right thumb wrapped again on Tuesday, but he's expected to be fine for the Thursday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. Brady was listed as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report after injuring his thumb in the Week 5 win over the Miami Dolphins, but head coach Bruce Arians said the injury shouldn't prevent the future Hall of Famer from playing this Thursday. The 44-year-old signal-caller wasn't affected by the thumb injury in the win over Miami, throwing for over 400 yards and a season-high five touchdowns. We'll keep monitoring Brady's thumb, but plan on keeping him in all starting lineups for Week 6.

Oct 11th · 09:28 PM
Tom Brady Listed As Limited Monday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb) would have been a limited participant had the team practiced Monday. The Buccaneers released an estimated practice report, which listed Brady, who suffered a thumb injury on his throwing hand during Sunday's victory over Miami, as limited. Of course, the veteran signal-caller didn't appear to be affected in the slightest by the ailment, as he picked apart the Dolphins defense to the tune of 411 yards and five touchdowns. Head coach Bruce Arians said he expects Brady "will be fine by Thursday." Fantasy managers will likely be able to count on the six-time Super Bowl champ for solid QB1 production once again in Week 6.

Oct 11th · 03:15 PM
Tom Brady Dealing With Thumb Injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (thumb) was dealing with an injury in the middle of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, as he was spotted with his hand in ice on the sidelines. It is not believed to be serious, as Ian Rapoport reports that the issue doesn't put his status for Thursday night into question. It could be something to monitor as the week progresses, but as of now, there is no cause for concern. Brady will remain a solid QB1 option against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6 and can be started with confidence.

Oct 10th · 08:31 PM
Tom Brady Erupts For 411 Yards

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady erupted in Week 5 by going 30-for-41 for 411 yards and five touchdowns in the win over Miami. Brady has been on a torrid stretch to start the season and this is his second time in the last three games throwing for over 400 yards. This is also his second game with five touchdowns. The 44-year-old is showing out in 2021 and with his current play and abundance of weapons, Brady is a solid QB1 going forward.

Oct 10th · 01:39 AM
Tom Brady Will Revisit Negotiations In Offseason

Seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to revisit extension talks next offseason, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. The legendary 44-year-old has plenty left in the tank and appears to be very interested in remaining with Tampa Bay after his contract expires next year. He is making $25.5 this season and will earn $23.9 million in 2022. So far this season, the 22-year veteran has completed 119 passes for 1,356 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions. He should be rostered and started in all leagues due to his extreme talent and very strong supporting cast.

Oct 9th · 03:45 PM
Tom Brady - Week 5 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is a QB1 against the Dolphins in Week 5. Brady has been terrific this season but has certainly slowed down in the past couple of weeks. Last week, the QB managed 269 yards in the anticipated matchup against his former team New England. Nevertheless, Brady has 10 touchdowns to two picks this season and has been decent overall. With a plethora of weapons and a Miami defense that is average against fantasy QBs, Brady is a fantastic play in Week 5.

Oct 4th · 04:23 AM
Tom Brady Held Scoreless In Win Over Patriots

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady completed 22 of 43 passing attempts for 269 yards in a 19-17 win over the Patriots. Brady didn't exactly fill up the box score in his return to Foxborough, though he did make history, surpassing Drew Brees on the NFL's all-time passing yards list with a 28-yard completion to Mike Evans in the first quarter. While it was disappointing to see a zero in the touchdown column, Brady still attempted 43 passes, giving him an average of 46 through the first four weeks of play, something that doesn't appear likely to change with the Buccaneers defensive backfield in shambles. The veteran signal-caller looks poised for a bounce-back performance next week against the Dolphins.

Are NFL Trade Rumor Covered in the Player News?
Yes! As you can see from this Julio Jones write up from his player page, we updated his news section as soon as the news broke.
“The Atlanta Falcons are not expected to trade quarterback Matt Ryan this offseason, according to sources. “The Falcons have not had any trade conversations about Ryan or their star wide receiver Julio Jones. And every expectation is both players are going to be on the roster in 2021,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said. New head coach Arthur Smith plans to run a similar offense to the one Kyle Shanahan used when Ryan won MVP in 2016. Atlanta would be on the hook for more than $44 million in dead money in 2021 if they traded Ryan before June 1. Atlanta may decide to take Ryan’s heir-apparent at No. 4 overall in the draft, but the 35-year-old signal-caller is expected to stay put for at least another season. Ryan and Jones got it going to end the regular season and could be in line for bounce-back campaigns under Smith in 2021. Consider Ryan a midrange QB1 heading into next season.”
