DraftKings EPL DFS picks today FanDuel fantasy soccer lineups projections

Manchester City heads to Madrid with a one-goal lead on aggregate in the Champions League semifinals. Manchester City comes in as a +110 (BetMGM) favorite. The total of 2.5 goals sits at -200 to the over (BetMGM. These two clubs lead their respective leagues in both standings and expected goals. Manchester City got a quick two-goal lead in the first leg before a trade of four total goals followed for Real Madrid to keep a glimpse of hope should they pull off the upset at home. Real Madrid has struggled to keep opponents off the scoresheet, with a goal conceded in seven of their last nine outings. Against teams with comparable offenses to that of Manchester City, They have allowed two-plus goals in four consecutive matches.

Manchester City is not accustomed to conceding goals. Real Madrid, Liverpool and Tottenham are the only teams to record three goals against them in their last 20-plus matches. Manchester City can match goal for goal to see their way to the Champions League finals. The one-goal deficit will not force Real Madrid to push forward desperately for goals. They will look to play their match, and Manchester City will look to score early again and put the pressure on. With the firepower both clubs possess and a defense that has been leaky to opponents of similar offensive caliber, the best bet is over 3.5 total goals at +120 (BetMGM).

UCL DFS DraftKings & FanDuel Fantasy Soccer Lineups

**All Soccer Betting Odds from BetMGM**

Below are the top UCL DFS picks on DraftKings and FanDuel, which consider all aspects of the slate, from Awesemo’s expert UCL DFS projections to pricing to popularity for DFS fantasy soccer. These UCL DFS soccer picks should help with creating highly projected lineups in DraftKings and FanDuel fantasy soccer tournaments and cash games.

Captains

Kevin De Bruyne (DraftKings: $15,000, FanDuel $14)

Gabriel Jesus (DraftKings: $13,500, FanDuel $11)

Karim Benzema (DraftKings: $15,900, FanDuel $15)

The most expensive player across both DraftKings and FanDuel is Karim Benzema. He has proven game after game that he is a brace upside play. He leads La Liga in goals and averages 3.93 shots per match with an on-target accuracy clip of 40%. Benzema handles the penalties for Real Madrid on a club filled with quick movers around the box that can draw the foul. However, Real Madrid draws penalties below 25% in La Liga, so that is not reliable for Benzema finding the back of the net. His salary also requires a minimum of one goal in an expected high-scoring affair. He is a GPP play for leverage against the high ownership plays of the Manchester City attack.

The highest-owned Captain will be Kevin De Bruyne. Despite splitting sets with Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden, De Bruyne can deliver for Manchester City to the tune of a team-leading 11 goals. Mahrez is tied with this goal mark and is a pivot off De Bruyne, but both in the same lineup is a sound approach for cash games. De Bruyne averages 3.01 shots per match and has a high floor with 8.1 crosses and 5.38 scoring chances created. The GPP goal hunter for salary relief is Gabriel Jesus. He has found a streak of scoring and averages 3.08 shots per match. Jesus rostered in the Captain slot would leave salary for two of Benzema, De Bruyne and Mahrez without compromise on the remaining players.

Flex

Vinicius Junior (DraftKings: $9,200, FanDuel $13)

Joao Cancelo (DraftKings: $6,800, FanDuel $10)

Vinicius Junior sits second on Real Madrid in scoring and creates 5.63 scoring chances per match. He is an accurate shooter at 51% on his 2.68 attempts per match. The price on DraftKings would require a sacrifice of one of the top scorers above. He is a GPP play and would serve as leverage in a balanced 3-3 build or a Real Madrid-favored stack. He could also fit the build as the one-off without the presence of Ederson from Manchester City since his salary requires a goal, which would destroy the upside of Ederson. On FanDuel Vinicius Junior’s price is interesting for the goal-hunting chase. In cash games it would make sense to go lower to Mahrez or Jesus, but in GPPs his goals and shot volume accuracy provide as high a floor as the Manchester City attackers not named De Bruyne.

Joao Cancelo returns to the mix for this matchup. He averages 2.85 open-play crosses and 2.98 scoring chances created per match, and his price is too low. The key news for rostering Cancelo is the health of Kyle Walker. With Walker in, Cancelo is free to roam up the wings and play as an extra attacker. When he replaces Walker and Oleksandr Zinchenko slots on the opposite wing Cancelo does not seem to roam up as much. He is a great upside play at the Flex spot, but with Walker back, Cancelo could fit as Captain to jam in an onslaught of goal hunters in the Flex.

Luka Modric (DraftKings: $5,800, FanDuel $7)

Bernardo Silva (DraftKings: $7,800, FanDuel $9)

Luka Modric did not have his best showing in the first leg of this matchup. He averages 3.09 scoring chances created and 2.68 won tackles/interceptions. Modric averages 1.84 drawn fouls per match, which tails only Vinicius Junior, who averages 2.86. Modric’s salary is cheap enough for the minutes he brings to the match and upside in big game moments. He can relieve salary as a one-off for a 5-1 Manchester City stack. Modric’s tackles, interceptions and drawn fouls offer a higher floor on FanDuel, where he is near minimum price, and one does not have to sacrifice Cancelo in the defender slot to consume the goal contribution for the Manchester City squad. The cash game one-off salary relief for Real Madrid is Toni Kroos with set shares.

Bernardo Silva comes with a heavy price. He averages 4.03 scoring chances created and is third on the team in scoring. With just 1.52 shots per match and less than three crosses via open play, he carries risk. Keep in mind, Jesus and Foden have the same risk since they cost almost $1,000 more. Silva is a GPP play that bodes well for a Manchester City stack because the Jesus, De Bruyne, Mahrez and Cancelo high-owned stacks need something different to take down a tournament.

Other Options: Toni Kroos (DraftKings: $5,200, FanDuel: $8), Rodrygo (DraftKings: $4,400, FanDuel $8)
