Odds Report / Analysis
Kosovo @ England (-1250) / England -2.5
Portugal (-1000) @ Lithuania / Portugal -2.5
Albania @ France (-10000) / France -4.5
Crazy slate ahead with all three favorites having totals above 3 implied. It’s going to be a matter of getting the absolute most out of them, and you’ll need to run extremely good with goal variance to snipe one down. I’m looking to have all of my M/F spots filled with either a French, Portuguese, or English player. I’d rather make concessions elsewhere (GK / D / a well rounded build) rather than waste a M/F spot on Kosovo/Lithuania/Albania with virtually no goal involvement upside.
Expected Set Piece Takers
Kosovo: Hardly matters, but Bersant Celina, Valon Berisha
England: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jadon Sancho, Mason Mount
Portugal: Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes
Lithuania: Hardly matters, but Ovidijus Verbickas
Andorra: Hardly matters, but Cristian Martinez
France: Antoine Griezmann, Thomas Lemar
Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal / F / 11.4)
It’d be a shock if the World’s sexiest man doesn’t score at least once as a -1000 favorite against a completely unmatched Lithuanian side. Antoine Griezmann, Harry Kane, and Raheem Sterling are all elite plays, possibly even better than CR7, but his pure shot volume and slate snapping upside gives him the edge of the studs. There’s no doubt that all three of the other studs have multi-goal upside too though. You can’t really go wrong with all three favorites likely to destroy their competition.
Wissam Ben Yedder (France / F / 7.8)
Expected to lead the line for France tomorrow, WBY should have no problems filling his boots as FOUR POINT FIVE goal favorites. Andorra is nowhere near ready to compete against France, who have got more holes in their defense than the Miami Dolphins. There’s a chance he doesn’t start, which in that case, the pivot would be Olivier Giroud (8,700).
Joao Felix (Portugal / F / 6.0)
The price on the young superstar doesn’t make much sense given Portugal are UGE favorites. Keep an eye on their lineup as there’s some path to him not starting, but chances are he does. How insane is it that this kid is 19 years old; what were you doing when you were 19? Transferred from Benfica to Atletico Madrid for £75M. Sports are wild, and that’s why we love em.
