Yesterday’s French Open slate was filled with monster scores from top to bottom. Ashleigh Barty’s retirement early in the tournament has opened up the competition in the WTA group, so it should be interesting to see once the dust settles. DraftKings is now down to a 12-match, $10,000-to-first contest, but there are still plenty of ways to get different, so let’s dive right into DraftKings tennis DFS picks for Friday’s slate.

French Open DraftKings Tennis DFS Picks | June 4
Tennis DFS Pick: Christian Garin ($9,300)
Opponent: Marcos Giron
Opened at : -350
Marcos Giron hasn’t really been tested on clay in his career, as he’s played only 46 matches on this surface with the majority of his clay matches at the lower levels. Christian Garin and Giron both enter this matchup with eight sets under their belt in their last two matches played. Garin has been the player in better form as of recent and even has a finals win in 2021. These two have played each other in the past, which Garin won, but the match was on hardcourts. This matchup should require at least four sets, but the more experienced Garin should have enough in the tank to walk away with the win. Awesemo’s expert Tennis DFS projections have Garin coming in at 58.06 points on DraftKings and 116.65 on FanDuel.
Tennis DFS Pick: Paula Badosa ($10,000)
Opponent: Ana Bogdan
Odds to win: -630
Ana Bogdan had a lucky break when Naomi Osaka withdrew from the tournament, but now she gets Paula Badosa, who may prove to be a bigger problem for her. Badosa is fresh off of a dominant straight-sets win over Danka Kovinic, who is known for being great on clay. Bogdan beat Badosa back in 2016, but the version she will play today should prove to be too much for her. Badosa, who is the top-projected women’s player on the slate with 59.63 points in the Tennis DFS projections, should advance to the next round after a straight-sets win.
Other plays: Alexander Zverev, John Isner, Reilly Opelka, Serena Williams
