Top 5 Week 3 Streaming Quarterback Options | Fantasy Football 2021

Streaming quarterbacks has become a very popular strategy in the fantasy football realm over the years. Finding the perfect matchup for a waiver wire quarterback is difficult given how much the NFL varies from week to week. Here we will discuss five of the best Week 3 streaming quarterbacks that are likely on the waiver wire for NFL fantasy football.

Week 3 Fantasy Football Streaming Quarterbacks

Kirk Cousins — Minnesota Vikings vs. Seattle Seahawks

Cousins has been on fire recently for fantasy football. Finishing as QB5 this week throwing 32 times for 22 completions with three touchdowns. As well as rushing for an unexpected 35 yards. With such a loaded offense, it should be no shock that Cousins has been playing this well. This week against Seattle projects to be a back-and-forth slugfest. The Seahawks offense has been pass heavy the last two games and that should lead to a pass-heavy affair between both sides. Hopefully, Dalvin Cook is healthy going into this week, but with him injured they may look to throw a little bit more.

Derek Carr — Las Vegas Raiders vs. Miami Dolphins

Carr and the Raiders appear to be on a warpath in the AFC. Few expected the team to be 2-0 at this point, especially with how tough their start to the season schedule was facing the Ravens and Steelers. In Week 2 against the Steelers, Carr finished as QB6, 28-for-37 for 382 yards and two touchdowns. This week against the Dolphins will be yet another tough defense for Carr to conquer. But with how well he has been playing, it is likely to even matter. Without a true elite wide receiver, Carr is able to use the likes of Henry Ruggs III, Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards relatively well. Not to mention Darren Waller, who is one of the best tight ends in the NFL. Pick up Carr now before the rest of your league realizes how good he is.

Teddy Bridgewater — Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets

Bridgewater was QB10 in Week 2, completing 26 of 34 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns, doing so against the Jaguars. This week he faces the Jets, which is one of the best matchups a quarterback can have. While Mac Jones was not overly impressive against them, the Patriots still rolled the Jets 25-6. Projecting another top-10 performance out of Bridgewater is entirely plausible, despite losing Jerry Jeudy. Courtland Sutton seems to be really returning to his 2019 form, which will further elevate Bridgewater’s potential week in and week out.

Daniel Jones — New York Giants vs. Atlanta Falcons

Jones and the Giants fought well against the Washington Football Team Defense last Thursday. Jones threw 32 times for 22 completions for 249 yards and a touchdown. He also led the team in rushing with nine carries for 95 yards and a touchdown. While we all know Jones is far from an elite NFL quarterback, mixing the matchup against the Falcons with his rushing upside Jones is in for a big game against the Falcons. Despite Kenny Golladay being an afterthought for the Giants, Jones still is able to put up solid fantasy numbers.

Sam Darnold — Carolina Panthers at Houston Texans

After being traded from the Jets, it appears that Darnold is a completely different quarterback. Leaving Adam Gase in the dust appears to do that to players. The Panthers are coming off of a dominant victory against the Saints winning 26-7. Darnold threw 35 times for 26 completions with two touchdowns and an interception. This matchup against the Texans is very juicy. Despite their defense looking like the ’85 Bears in Week 1 against the Jaguars they did not look great against the Browns. Darnold should roll the Texans on Sunday Night Football. The biggest issue here is Davis Mills not being able to fight back and they run the ball down the throat of the Texans late in the game.
