Bundy has asserted himself as an ace for this Angels team and he stands out on this slate as the top option in all formats. Lance Lynn is the only guy priced similarly and his matchup with the Dodgers is as tough as it gets. The Rangers are also underdogs and you never want to play an expensive underdog at SP in cash games. Bundy faces off with a Mariners team that is undoubtedly one of the worst in the MLB. They were dominated by Heaney just a night ago and will face a much tougher arm in Bundy tonight. He’s struck out 10

Seattle ranks 20th against righties with a middling .313 team wOBA and 22% strikeout rate. The big problem with the Mariners is their lack of consistency throughout the lineup. Without much power to work with, they rely on these guys to string together hits and it hasn’t happened yet. Their young and while the future is actually pretty bright, the present is not. Bundy is hard to trust after such a bumpy track record, but he’s clearly a different pitcher in 2020 and we know he’s going to see 100+ pitches. Bundy is the top option in all formats tonight and will see huge ownership in turn. In a tournament, there are other interesting ways to go. Let’s take a look.

Weaver struggled mightily in his first few starts, but has looked a lot better in each of his last two. He’s finished with 36 and 26 FanDuel points on a combined 10.2 innings, 11 strikeouts, and three earned runs. He faced this same Gian team in his last appearance and looked great, going scoreless through four before getting knocked around a bit. Still, he showed what we were looking for and I fully expect Weaver to continue improving. He was one of the more impressive young guns in 2019 and none of his underlying numbers showed a fluke.

The Giants have burned a lot of folks this year, but there’s no debating just how good they are. They toss out one of the least intimidating lineups in baseball and are a clear example of a small sample size proving inaccurate. This is a top-five matchup for Weaver and the pitcher-friendly ballpark only helps his case. On a slate without much safety, Weaver is extremely cheap and I fully expect five or six solid innings. He’s in play on both sites and I”m a fan in both cash games and tournaments.

I’m not one to ever roster Anderson, but times are tough tonight and this matchup against the Pittsburgh Pirates is simply begging us to make the move. They rank dead last in baseball on the road with a .244 team wOBA and 24.8% strikeout rate. They’re also worse against left-handed pitching and are one of the least intimidating offenses in the game. The lineup is filled with high-K, low-.OBP bats that don’t present much of a challenge. Anderson typically pitches to contact and can breeze through innings with relative ease when his command is on. The Brewers are -195 favorites tonight and the Pirates are implied to score just 3.81 runs by Vegas. With all of that being said, Anderson is a DK-only play as the price on FanDuel doesn’t leave any room for upside. In a tournament, I’m all for a Pirates stack to hedge.
