NBA Fantasy: Boom Bust Tool Projections for DraftKings + FanDuel Lineups | Today 11/10

On tap for Wednesday night is a massive 13-game slate. With 26 clubs competing, NBA fantasy lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel will be flush with high-level talent and value plays. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will provide breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.

NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight

Boom: Will Barton: $6,300 DraftKings/$6,000 FanDuel

33.6% DraftKings Boom/37% FanDuel Boom

Nikola Jokic will be serving his one-game suspension tonight, and Michael Porter Jr. (back) will also be sidelined, opening the door for Barton to become the Nuggets’ primary option. When Jokic and Porter have been off the floor this season, Barton’s usage has risen 5.9 percentage points and he has scored 1.3 DraftKings points per minute. Barton has led Denver with 35.3 minutes per game in these past two sans Porter, and that number should grow even further with Jokic also inactive. Add in this plus matchup with the Pacers, who rank 11th in pace and 21st in defensive efficiency, and Barton is a terrific mid-tier target for all formats. Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool gives Barton a top-10 boom score for both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight.

Boom: Ricky Rubio: $5,200 DraftKings/$5,500 FanDuel

65.6% DraftKings Boom/52.5% FanDuel Boom

With Collin Sexton going down with a torn meniscus, Rubio is a value play that cannot be ignored. Sexton was only available for 12 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Knicks, and after he exited Rubio flourished as the Cavaliers’ top point guard. In 31.2 minutes of work he scored a career-high 37 points to go along with 10 assists en route to 61.25 DraftKings points. Kevin Love (health protocols) and Lauri Markkanen (health protocols) both missed this win and will be out again Wednesday. In the 66 minutes Rubio has played with those two bigs and Sexton off the court, his usage has increased 2.9 percentage points and he has contributed an elite 1.4 DraftKings points per minute.

Awesemo’s projections have Rubio slated for 33.4 minutes tonight, and this is an up-tempo matchup against the Wizards, who rank seventh in pace. Relative to his modest price tags, Rubio has a tremendous ceiling tonight, and he is a top-five value for both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Zach Brunner is locked in on Rubio as a great play tonight as well, and he wrote about how the Awesemo projections are pointing toward Rubio in his NBA DFS Picks, Grades & Values article.

Boom: Jarrett Allen: $7,500 DraftKings/$7,500 FanDuel

30.7% DraftKings Boom/29.5% FanDuel Boom

Allen’s price tags on both DraftKings and FanDuel have reached new season highs, but he is still underpriced for his current role. With Love missing these past four, Allen has dominated with four straight double-doubles, resulting in 50.6 DraftKings points per game. Over this stretch he has led the Cavs with 36.8 minutes per game, and Allen should handle an even larger role tonight with Sexton joining Cleveland’s crowded injury report.

Take Love, Markkanen and Sexton off the floor this season, and Allen’s usage and rebound rates have increased 2.5 and 10.3 percentage points, respectively. He averages 1.3 DraftKings points per minute in this situation, and Allen’s outstanding run should continue in this juicy matchup against the Wizards. Not only does Washington ranks seventh in pace, but they have given up the fourth-most points in the paint per game.

Boom: Anthony Davis: $11,100 DraftKings/$10,800 FanDuel

11.5% DraftKings Boom/17.5% FanDuel Boom

With 13 games on the schedule, Wednesday’s slate has a plethora of stars to choose from. Deciding who to pay up for is a difficult task, but with Davis projecting for less than 5% ownership on both sites, he is without question one of the best studs to target. He is coming off an incredible performance of 68.5 DraftKings points Monday against the Hornets. LeBron James (abdomen) missed this game and has already been confirmed out for Wednesday. Excluding this past Saturday night, when Davis exited after only seven minutes because of an illness, he has averaged 62.1 DraftKings points per game with James out of the lineup this season. In 216 minutes Davis has played without James this year, he is scoring 1.5 DraftKings points per minute.

On paper tonight’s matchup with the Heat is ugly, with their defense ranking fourth in efficiency, but just this past Monday they showed they can be beat inside, with Jokic exposing them for a season-best 70.25 DraftKings points. Davis brings similar upside tonight, and his ceiling is the fourth highest on the slate, according to the Boom/Bust Tool.
