On tap for Tuesday is a three-game slate. Even with only six clubs competing, NBA fantasy lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel will be flush with high-level talent and value plays. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.
NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight
Boom: Rudy Gobert: $7,700 DraftKings/$8,300 FanDuel
28.9% DraftKings Boom/24.6% FanDuel Boom
For both DraftKings and FanDuel, Gobert is rating as the best high-end value on the slate. He is producing 1.3 DraftKings points per minute this season, has notched a double-double in 10 of 13 starts and is averaging nearly three defensive stats per game. Tonight Gobert meets a 76ers team that remains without Joel Embiid (health protocols). With Embiid inactive for the last four games, Philadelphia has ranked second-to-last in defensive rating. Additionally, they have given up the eighth-most rebounds and the third-most points in the paint.
The Jazz’s implied team total is the second highest on the slate (113 points), and Gobert should dominate with a huge double-double in this juicy spot.
Boom: Keldon Johnson: $6,000 DraftKings/$6,900 FanDuel
33.5% DraftKings Boom/18.6% FanDuel Boom
With DeMar DeRozan now with the Bulls, Johnson has taken on a more prominent role with the Spurs this season, posting a 23.4% usage rate and 30.3 minutes per game, both of which are career highs. Johnson’s usage is 3.9 percentage points higher than last season, and he is averaging 1.0 DraftKings points per minute. He has recorded over 30 DraftKings points in five straight starts, and tonight’s meeting with the Clippers should be a fast-paced matchup. Both teams rank inside the top 11 in pace this season, and this game’s total is up to 219.5 points.
Johnson’s price tag is more appropriate on FanDuel, but at only $6,000 on DraftKings, he is a core play for this short slate. He is a top-five value and is the highest-rated player on DraftKings in Awesemo’s Boom Bust Tool.
Johnson is a great option tonight, but the Spurs also provide plenty of other GREAT value options, which Eric MacPherson highlighted in his NBA DFS Building Blocks article for tonight’s slate.

Boom: LaMarcus Aldridge: $4,800 DraftKings/$5,600 FanDuel

Aldridge has been extremely efficient this season, scoring 1.2 DraftKings points per minute. At 23%, his usage ranks third on the Nets, only trailing James Harden and Kevin Durant. In his past four Aldridge knocked down seven of 11 3-pointers, and he has also been active on the defensive end, averaging two defensive stats a night. Over this stretch, Aldridge is averaging 30.2 DraftKings points per game, and tonight against the Warriors he is competing in the best game environment on the slate. Not only does this game present the highest total of the night (221.5 points), but this matchup’s 3-point spread in favor of Brooklyn is also the smallest on the board. Via Awesemo’s Boom Bust Tool, Aldridge’s ceiling is north of 30 DraftKings points tonight, and he is an inexpensive way to gain exposure to the slate’s best setting.
Bust: Andre Drummond: $8,700 DraftKings/$8,500 FanDuel
48.7% DraftKings Bust/38.6% FanDuel Bust
Going against Gobert, Drummond is way overpriced tonight. The Jazz rank 11th in defensive efficiency and 21st in pace, and they are yielding the fourth-fewest rebounds this season. In this brutal road matchup, the 76ers’ implied team total is the lowest on the slate (103 points). Furthermore, the return of Tobias Harris has killed Drummond’s fantasy value.
After posting over 50 DraftKings points in each of the first three games without Embiid, Drummond is only averaging 35.3 DraftKings points per game in these last two with Harris back in the lineup. Overall, when Drummond and Harris have been on the floor together with Embiid off, all of Drummond’s rates have dropped, most notably a 2.6-point decrease to his usage. Particularly on FanDuel where his ownership is expected to be north of 20%, Drummond should be excluded from player pools tonight.
